More from Jessica Merizan

https://twitter.com/...123953057112064

@JessicaMerizan @EpochSentinel @Derek_McL It ruins the entire games' universe. The mass relays were central to the plot. Now they're gone.

@WillPhillips01 @EpochSentinel @Derek_McL no matter what?

And then later https://twitter.com/...125190200631298

@JessicaMerizan @EpochSentinel @Derek_McL Well, I just really want good things to happen. Instead, everyone is stranded in Sol.

@WillPhillips01 @EpochSentinel @Derek_McL Again: no matter what?

 Hey guys, sorry if this has already been put on this thread, I can never really keep track, but this article has some more "cryptic messages" about the "endings" of ME3 from Bioware: :blink:

A quick question, if I may, for a theory I'm mulling over: Do you get the ending with Joker and Edi emerging from the crashed Normandy with every ending you choose? I chose synergy myself, so saw it. But what about the other options?

You see it for all the options.

The only difference is in the synergy option joker and the rest of the crew are synthetic, where as they are normal in the other 2.

As well, (What most of the theory is based on.) if certain requirements are met, you get a cut scene after the normandy crashes where presumably shepard is gasping for air, in some london rumble. Which makes no sense since if it is shepard, how did he get back down to london.

Thanks very much. So this business of the Star Child declaring an option  of destroying all synthetic life just isn't actually true then? I can't remember which option it was, but he talks about destroying the reapers, the geth and all AI life, doesn't he? So how's EDI still alive regardless?

Essentially it is summed up as: The beam knocks shepard out. harbinger attempts to indoctrinate Shepard into seeing it the Reaper way. Choosing Destroy breaks the control over you. The other two succumb to it..

Nothing actually occurs between the knock out time and the Shepard takes a breath time.

Oh. I'm just  trying to rationalise the kid's statements regarding your choices. So it seems to be the consensus view that the kid is an illusion created in Sheperd's mind by Harbinger, using the Reaper tech Shep has installed, in a last-ditch attempt to prevent the destruction of all those ancient races that have gone before us into Reaperhood, and to that end he basically lies to further his goal?

@masseffect I loved the game until the end. No closure whatsoever. Unless its a blue pill or red pill moment ala Matrix.

@kristinaable Some times you are presented with binary choices :) And for the record, red pill or the blue one?

>red pill or the blue one?
Good enough for me.

Red pill??? Red Conduit???  Connection anyone?

http://en.wikipedia....l_and_blue_pill

If this really is a Matrix reference, then this might just be our greatest piece of evidence yet.  And this seems so intentional that it doesn't seem physically possible for it be a coincidence.  Of course, that is what Private Jimmy said, and anyone who has watched Red vs Blue knows how well that turned out...

Nice catch! Fuel to the fire....

why, what do you see?

Tell me that doesn't look like someone helping SHEPARD out of the rubble, or maybe, maybe that's VEGA in the N7 armor...

Depending on your choice, he does join the program.

Has been brought up before and most of us took it as a symbol of Shepard's saving humanity. I don't think we should be reading into it so much.

I mentioned this a while back.  Flip the picture on it's right side so the rubble is on the bottom.  The structures sticking into the sky in the background look just like the ones that surround the beam in London.  We know that Shepard ends up in rubble at the end, and the arm pulling him up appears to be Shepard's as well since it appears to be his N7 armour.  I believe the picture is a metaphor for Shepard pulling himself up and back into the fight.

And to burst the bubble, look at the back of the CE Edition Art book, and notice the background is the same as the one on the box...same scene...so.its not the same structures as London :(

disagree you can even see the transport tanks and the structure in the background. its the beam scene. and yes there were buildings near the beam scene in the game. not the cover for the artbook, the cover for the packaging that holds the artbook
