This has probably been mentioned before, but the PC CE game box says you need "at least 15GB" of space. Mass Effect 3 only takes up 11.2 GB in my Origin Games folder right now.

Maybe Bioware thought we would make hundreds of saves?:P

My is 10GB.
It depends of language I think.

But still it's strange that when you right click on game in origin and chose "repair" theres a 13.8GB download appear for short time and then it changes to 10 GB.

Even if game need some GB for cache/temp files, 5 GB is too big for this.
????

Haha that's very interesting.  I see it too.  It's funny that if you added another 3.8GB to my install it would be exactly 15GB.

Anyone who has another game on Origin and is bored -- want to check if "Repair Install" starts off with a larger size?

So if this ends up being true. Can we agree the ending is brilliant and just isn't complete yet?

Depends on what HAPPENS in this theoretical ending.

But - no.  As I said earlier, the player should have a little more information going in that the game is no longer to be trusted.  It's ... i forget what it's called, but there's a literary no-no when, in a mystery story told in first person, it turns out the narrator did it.

This is similar.  We're meant to break the fourth wall, but nothing indicates that.  ID theory itself is proof of this: look how many people have done so much work to coalate so much minute detail to get these ideas together.  This isn't Sixth Sense.  Tricking the player is not a good accomplishment.

I only go by *how many* people did their first playthrough to the end without, ahead of time, getting this idea.  If people who missed it were a small minority, then it was done well and we just missed it.  But that doesn't seem to be the case.

Further, outside the story itself, everything about this was done wrong.  What we were told we were buying was not what we bought.  We got upset about it.  We got sly winks and twitter accounts who think they're way too clever, in response.  Poorly handled across the board.

So no.  Maybe it was a grand experiment that failed, but BWEA needs to make a very solid statement to that effect, and promise not to jerk us around again, to get my trust back.  To say nothing of my money.

Wow this has turned into repeat what was said 10 posts ago than rinse and repeat Minus the rinse.
Why do people come bash the theory with the same question that we've answered a thousand times? Come on all you have to do is read at least 3 pages of the thread you realize its over 500 pages long.

I have to love this comment that someone left in response to one of the articles where Casey Hudson said he wanted the ending to be unforgettable, I lol'd

I hope his approach to dating wasn't "So long as it's memorable." Punching a date in the face and stealing her pocket book before feeling up her sister would end the date in a "memorable" fashion. Just not a good, respectful fashion... and definitely not one likely to generate another date.

I wouldn't worry too much about Mr. Hudson's actual mental state.  Everything he's said is pure spin, damage control, and buying time.  He's not really that dense, but he IS the employee of a large corporate entity, and they're kinda paranoid about who says what and when.  Sometimes with good reason, but all too frequently out of misguided ideas or plain ol' denial, or ego.

Haha, don't get me wrong, I'm not worried, I just thought that comment was hilarious :wizard:

Well.  Yeah.  It is

You know, this begs a new question. If this isn't over, how will the Reapers go down? Is the crucible really still the answer? As soon as Javik said it wasn't Prothean but something handed down through different cycles, it set off some major alarm bells with me. The Reapers are fairly thorough with their cleanup. The only major thing they left behind was that derelict one. Perhaps they won't destroy their own or something. Anyway, it seems extremely unlikely that the Reapers keep forgetting and leaving the blueprints for this thing laying around.

But if the crucible isn't really the way to defeat them... what is?

We went through them earlier in the thread.

14.6 for xbox, 14.03 for PS3 and varies a little for PC - but on pc mine is 11.3 (all three by memory) from a disc install and purchase of From Ashes.

Think about it like this:

The average salarian lifespan is 40 years.

The ME2 site says Mordin is 50.

Would you rather him go out lying in a hospital bed as old age finally gets the better of him, or have him go out like a god damned boss, as he did in ME3?

I was lurking through game files and it seems that files with name end001 is from landing on earth to shot by beam, end002 is TIM,Anderson,Catalyst, unknow what is end003 and end004

Last two end files seems to be cutted and not full comparing to other level files.

Unreliable narrator.  Agatha Christie pulled it off famously.  Of course, she was Agatha Christie.  A few movies have done it as well.

If done, it can be great, but it (a) has to be done really well, and (B) tends to kill 'replay' value unless it is done really, really well.

I was just checking out files in CookedPCConsole, and while I don't really know what I am looking at I find some files interesting in name. Especially those of BioD_End001. There are various "Hub_[race]" files, after a HammerHub file. The first few seem like the meetings you have toward the end with various important NPCS (Hub_Wrex, Hub_SalBoss) then there are Hub_geth and Hub_Quarian... Mayhaps there was meant to be an event with them on the planet?

I just recalled something wasn't the catalyst(citadel) refered to as something to give the crucible the needed power to fire? Not it actually being the weapon. Hell it dont even make sense to know to build the crucible if the catalyst is the reaper god.

Someone I was talking to mentioned this to me, so stop me if this is just a repeat. But, there seems to be an interesting coincidence about the Paragon blue and Renegade red colors being used to characterize the options. With seeing how taking the blue option is submitting to the indoctrination and taking the red option is rejecting it, this feels like a very interesting take on the blue pill/red pill of the Matrix.

"You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."

I have been reading this thread since the beginning, and this thing updates faster than I can read it! All these theories really give me hope though. It's only because of them that I am able to play through Mass Effect 3 again.

Hey, something to point out:

After you get hit by Harbinger's beam and all semblance of good storytelling goes out the window, there are a couple of other minor points I haven't seen mentioned.

Your pistol has infinite ammo. You can reload it, yes, but it never runs out of shots. I know, I fired 54 in a row before giving up. Never had to eject a thermal clip once.

Give that it uses thermal clips (because you can reload them), how is this possible, if it isn't in Shepard's head?

Also, anyone else notice that the only other time you walk as slowly as you do in that section is during the dream sequences?

Last night i also tweeted Jessica Merizan asking about the message you get on your datapad app from either Kaidan/Ash and what it could mean... And she didn't reply, when she has replied to all my other tweets to her.

It may be a glitch as others have said, but if it was at the start, it totally does not fit in with the rest of it, perhaps the glitch was that you were supposed to get it at the end, instead it gave it to some people at the beginning.

I still find this to be a strong piece of evidence IMO

Did anyone see if there were other places to walk around in that scene? I never tried going back or around or anything...

yes i  know that

the xbox has some duplicate files to go to like the citidal reguardless of what disc is in the drive.

id expect the ps3 to be a lot less as they dont have to worry about that.
