Has anyone else noticed that Kai Leng opens his final fight by punching the floor for seemingly no reason? Perhaps there is a reason. When you examine the ship workings that become exposed by his blow, they appear to be intertwined with Reaper tech. Do you think he's trying to expose Shep to this tech to further indoctrination?

I think most of his interactions in ME2 and ME3 with Cerberus and Reaper tech just **** you up haha.

I think Shepard is part-reaper....I mean, Kaiden does say 'Is the guy I followed still in there?' XD

I think the Reapers want to be what Shepard is.  Organic, but also synthetic (due to the parts Cerberus had to add when restoring Shepard).  Hence why the Reaper-child prefers the synergy option, saying that is the inevitable course of evolution.

Does that mean that the Indoctrination Theory is off the table? Why Singularity, that would mean the endigs ar cannon, wouldn't it?

We killed Saren. We killed Harbinger's buddies (Thousands of reapers, each a nation...so we commited genocide)...just to do what Saren and Sovereign were going to do anyway XD Excellent

there might be some twist we havent foreseen involved here.  Either way it still looks good that there is more to the endings.

If Bioware came clean now saying indoc is the case it would ruin the surprise and experience for so many players.

Yes but they're making ME suffer in the process.    Which I do not like.  I just want to know: am I going to get my true Mass Effect ending?  And when???

The endings as they are taint the rest of series with a sour song.
If that is the end, than what good was my stopping sovereign, or the collectors. What is the point of my uniting the galaxy and putting together this giant army, if its going to die anyways... and not in defeat, but betrayal... shepard betrayal. Better the reapers had won.

How can I replay Mass effect 3, knowing what is at the end...

My favorite series is ruined at the moment. And only their saying it was a joke  or explainging the ending can set things right and allow me to continue playing.

These types of things aren't just "bad ending" type things. These are clear violations of the laws of the physical reality followed in Mass Effect. If this isn't a dream, there is no reasonable explanation for these events.

I really think we are on the right track with this remember in one of Jessica Merizan's tweets she said her self that she interpreted the ending as a hallucination as well.

in theory it's all in his head and by choosing red(destroy) You resist the indoctrination because your willpower is strong enough to keep you on your goal

Wouldn't you find it odd if you were Shepard that your goal is not an option, even though it should be?

Strategy Guide page 323, turn upside down and read... Major spoilers about ending choices and how they are determined. There are a bunch of different options depending on whether you destroyed the collector base or not along with various levels of readiness that impact what happens. It doesn't say "effective" readiness either, just Readiness. And the only three choices mentioned are described as: destroy the reapers, become a reaper or synergy. In most of the upper readiness rating choices, it actually says "Earth is saved" as an outcome. Above 4000 and 5000 it says that Shepard lives as well.

It's a little confusing to read but it seems Earth is saved at higher readiness ratings even if you choose to become a reaper, which seems to be the control option people are referring to.

Anyway, it's an interesting read for anyone who has the strategy guide.

The choices are metaphoric.  Control/Synergy Shepard is accepting indoctrination.  Destroy Shepard is rejecting it.  The Reapers aren't actually destroyed by the choice, if Shepard is dreaming this.  It is trying to persuade Shepard to assimilate, so s/he doesn't wake up in the rubble and finishes kicking their butt.  They don't want to kill Shepard - they want him/her to join them.  Looking at the vids on the Cerberus base with an indoctrinated TIM, he refuses to order Shepard killed.  If he's taking orders from the Reapers, they want him/her alive.

Becoming a reaper would require more harvesting of humans I think.

I agree.  The other two options are Shepard accepting indoctrination, and the Reapers will continue purging the universe.  Hackett and Anderson tell Shepard over and over that the only path to win is 'destroy'.
