I'm facing the same problem with dlc myself, having bought every piece released for the games down the years. Why would I bother buying inconsequential side story stuff, if the game isn't actually finished/released complete as yet, that can't make a difference to the eventual outcome?

Start preparing for that eventuality. Take Omega back DLC - defeat remaining cerberus forces, discover character backstories - before you "retake Earth".

Lets say that's all there is, so we have more opportunities to earn EMS for the final battle, so what? We've already unlocked the 'best ending'. There has to be more to it or a lot of people won't be interested in DLC

I wouldn't mind an Aria DLC tbh. She was an amazing character in the novels and I feel they should expand on her side story and the death of her daughter. I also wouldnt mind a new male LI for femshep since she only has 2 male romance options in the entire game. :( (Garrus and Kaidan. SPOILERZ Thane gets stabbed and Jacob cheats on you. Wow Bioware ;_; )

I would also gladly spend all my money on Marauder shields DLC.

But if the ending is all a indoctrination, how could the 3 choices matter at all for the rest of the galaxy?

Like if I took synthesis it would mean my shepard gave in to the Indoctrination. But all this have been a battle in his head, so no matter what choice you make, it would not effect the rest of the galaxy since it was just a battle in his head all along?

To zoid
I know, that is my thinking as well. Comes down to how big the disconnect is between how they and us think is the right way to end the story. No way of knowing that before they start speaking.

The 3 choices change the galaxy as is either dooms or allows Shepard to keep fighting.
OR it brings Shepard to the reaper's side as a flaw.

As for the ending of the game: It leaves the game open enough for an ME4 and future DLC regarding Shepard's fight.

There is speculation that if you chose Control or Synthesis which both lead to Indoctrination, you have a boss battle type event against your own Shephard, playing as one of the squadmates you had with you at the base of the beam.

Again, all speculation, but you have to admit, having a boss fight against an Indoctrinated Shephard you created and molded for 5 years would be mindblowing.

What makes me more depressed is if it's the same guy who signed off on this ending as with ME2, where we face off against a human reaper (good idea) that actually, for absolutely no good reason, has a human face too (terrible idea, but one we rolled with because after all ME3 was coming eventually, right?) It means that genuinely poor ideas are getting through right to the very top, or that they're coming down right from the very top of this previously most excellent of games companys.

As far as the human looking reaper goes. Isnt it stated somewhere that when reapers 'absorb' a species, the reaper core thats created from that process resembles the 'absorbed' species, and the cutlefish look is just the exterior armor protecting the reaper core. Kind of like EDI and The Normandy

You may well be right, but that leaves me even more confused, I'm sorry to say. I mean, if that's in the galactic codex, and we accept the codex for the in-game item it is ie a sort of encyclopaedia galactica, how would anyone actually know in the first place that's what reapers do? I mean, who's looked? And if reapers are made from species that otherwise are destroyed, how would anyone actually recognise it in the first place, since there'd be no evidence to compare it to?

I don't think I'd be able to let a loved one play the end of this game... you aren't thinking of stopping them at a certain point?

Or maybe the TV just mysteriously explodes... :wizard:

Was just using it as an example of how a human looking reaper is not that crazy, or dumb of an idea. And the fact that the reapers were actually creating that human looking reaper core is evidence towards proving that's how they go about it. Plus, protheans were at war with them for centuries, im sure at least one or 2 of them where destroyed and possibly disected for info. Agian, just defending it not being that dumb or crazy an idea

They wanted to give people a chance to play the game, that also meaning people on asia who got the game today. I wouldnt expect a lot until next week. Nothin left to do but holding the line.

Keep believing guys, this isn't over until BioWare flat out says "THERE IS NO ENDING DLC"

Otherwise, keep holding that line.

If we do get any news about this whole ending thing, it probably wont be before april.

Didn't one of the prince of perzia gamer fans have a riot on it's ending? And then 4 or 5 month (If I remember) after, they gave out a dlc with a new ending.

Well, they said there is no end-game DLC. But they never said there wasn't more to add onto the ending. Technicalities.
