Very interesting. I am going to beat the ending again (<_<) so I can bring a different squad with me on the charge (My Shep isn't losing Garrus!). The scene happens so fast and I was looking at the chest so I'll definitely keep an eye out for it

Uh, that would be "last seen on Earth".  Again, proving it was a real child.

For the umpteenth time, can someone please tell me how anyone arrives at the conclusion that the kid is real based on a picture that might be him on the memorial wall?  a) if he IS a Reaper hallucination, then Shepard is seeing things that aren't there there's billions of people missing and Shepard just happens to run across a missing picture for the one kid haunting him.

COULD it be real?  Sure.  But there's no more reason to think it's real than there is to think it's a hallucination.  Or just an easter egg, like the Buzz Aldrin thing we analyzed the hell out of only to find out it was meaningless.

I remembered reading something like this in the leaked script:

Cutscene:
Shepard comes to. Anderson is dragging him forward. A jagged, bloody piece of metal is sticking out of his thigh. The conduit anchor retracts, stranding the henchmen. Shepard tries to walk, but his leg buckles. Anderson hands Shepard his pistol, and lifts Shepard's arm around his neck, supporting his leg. The two begin to shuffle towards the conduit beam.

This is ... interesting, no?
