Like at 1:55 I don't remember that scene. Also I didn't see the Krogan being stabbed on the ground through my playthroughs.

But hey maybe I'm wrong. I just didn't remember seeing that, but if you guys did then my mistake.

I thought I add my own theroy to this discussion. While I beleive in the theory here I like to add my point of view.

As we all know we have 3 choices based on are EMS low meduim or high. some people have pointed out why have two inducations and only one destroy(break free) well the answer is simple there is two different type of inducuation as we can see from ME1 and ME2.

If you have a Meduim EMS they only give you the control option which you will die (or will you) if you think back to the ending on ME2 where the collectors are about they go boom Harbinger says this You have failed us we will find another way releasing control. which if you see the collectors face he just stare blankly in space waiting for control meaning anything that he was before the control is gone they are puppets.

If you have High EMS they see you not only as a threat but a powerful tool that they can use like in ME1 Saren who was basically combined with reaper technology.

Now the destroy option is simple your fighting back. your mind is figthing back but if you have a low EMS they just don't want to waste there time with you so they let your mind win as your no threat.

I don't know if it ever been mention but thats the idea I got when I saw three choices

Yep.  Pretty much this.  That's the crux of the indoctrination theory I think.  The response of the starchild is also a pretty clear indicator that something is off.  Smirking when you choose control, blinking off like nothing more than a simple projection when you choose destroy.  It can all be explained away of course, but it is interesting to think about.

Also note that if you intend to follow the indoctrination part with more gameplay, you cannot give low EMS players anything else than the destroy option, assuming it's the only one that gets you through to the next part. Everyone should be able to progress pass that point, otherwise you're essentially denying people the choice of how to play the game. Which they kinda did anyway, but hey...

After watching the ending i just didn't want to play my second play through, but after reading what was mentioned in this thread it made a lot of sense and i got through it. even if this is somehow proves to be true the fact it didn't end in full retail copy sort of annoys me.

have one achievement left and that's kills might have to do mp less pain then. So many endings ive seen on youtube are better than the real one its down rigtht disappointing.

Not sure if odd or just plain laziness, but does anyone notice how unrefined Broshep is during the Citadel and beyond scenes? He looks... different compared to the rest of the game. Even my custom Shepard looked odd...

Well, if you had surgery then the scars magically reappear. You armor is also reset to N7. If you choose blue/green your eyes turn blue like TIMs and godchild only lingers around if you pick those two.

So I was wondering about what 1M1 meant since we seem to have concluded that its on the Citadel rather than the Crucible. I found a thread suggesting it could be a date reference, 1 month and 1 day from release, and that just happens to fall on PAX. Maybe we learn the truth then?

I still think theres a hint in the third and final nghtmare where you watch dream-Shepard hug the child and his eyes have black irises, not the color you picked. Theres also the ominous sound that plays as he opens his eyes.

Its quite odd since the stenciling makes it look like Alliance letters. The structure bit that its on also looks like Alliance tech, not like the rest of the Citadel.

Do a playthrough sometime and make sure you listen to the audio. There's buzzing or ringing sounds through a lot of the game. Places where there's no good explanation other than indoctrination for them to be. You just probably won't notice them if you're not looking for them, especially if you're immersed in the game.

Also noticed after Thessia, Shepard is really... I don't know, pissy I guess. Go talk with Joker and EDI at the bridge. Joker tries to tell a joke and Shepard bites his head off. It was kind of tasteless but still. Joker responds that he's joking (no pun intended) because Anderson asked him to watch out for Shepard and EDI's scans of Shepard's systems indicate s/he's under more stress than ever. Including during the horrors Shepard's various origin stories have for a backstory. He also talks about losing his family to the Reapers and says he understands the situation as well as anyone else. Shepard remains pissy and even paragon can't comfort him or apologize for snappy. Then Shepard snaps at EDI for trying to chat. "I'm not in the mood!" ect... I think this is significant because we get very little control over Shepard's responses. Like, Dragon Age 2 levels of control. We've always been able to control Shepard's attitude and mood to a reasonable extent. If we want our Shepard to believe in "get over it, people die" then that's what they believe. If we want them to be understanding and nice to everyone, they will. Because the philosophy has always been that Shepard's attitude and beliefs are what we want them to be. That gets slowly taken away near the end. Which would fit in perfectly with Reaper indoctrination breaking down Shepard's will and resolve.

It does seem rather metagame, but we had Andersen stare at the player, or maybe Shepard? when talking about indoctrination as well. I do think it supports the dream theory, but I also think its possible that its another direct message to the player.

the reason why I don't beleive this is the final ending besides the theroy we have here. Is that it keeps resetting at the final mission like you didn't do it. Yet they are telling us to keep on to are ME3 saves I understood ME2 and 1 they never reset and you could still exploer the galaxy but this one resets why?

Woah.  Okay I've never been a believer that the 1m1 meant anything, but that's a hell of a coincidence.

Because you wouldn't be standing on the Normandy after those endings. Maybe, possibly after destroy, but not the others.
