I havent really noticed any hums or buzzing noises. The one in the shuttle bay I always thought was from the ship itself.
It happens in a number of the priority missions. I think the one I was most aware of was on Thessia, immediately after reading this thread I went into the temple and had the chat with the VI. The sound happens near the end of the conversation I think when Kai Leng walks up.

They are being coy on purpose. They've already stated that the Final Hours thing is just for fun, and is not canon (Jessica merizan Tweet).
While I don't like being kept in the dark I can understand it. But I will point out the fact that the silence is akin to stretching a rubber band(the playerbase) if they keep stretching it for too long without more information eventually the band will snap. They are walking a razor's edge.

I'm playing the Arrival DLC again and there's that scene around :30
I always forget how intense that is. I've also been thinking about the presence of the reaper IFF since I found out its a physical object.

Its quite odd since the stenciling makes it look like Alliance letters. The structure bit that its on also looks like Alliance tech, not like the rest of the Citadel.
You know how people would dream about visiting Louvre, but never actually been there, so their subconsciousness fills in the blanks with footage of any random palace they've seen?
That section is either very clever, or very lazy...

Isnt that Kai Lengs theme? Pretty sure it plays every time you run into him.

I had headphones on for the entire game and humming and buzzes popped up a few times thoughout the game- I thought it was a bug or incompatibility with my sound card or something.

Why would the previous cycles even design a pair of handles you can grab to take control of the reapers if they intend to destroy it?
It all seems very bizarre when you sit back and think about it!!
It is bizarre that the Crucible that engineers built to do one thing has three different parts that allow you to do two things besides its intended purpose, and that Shepard has to shoot the device in order to get it started.
In regard to all the stuff on page 620 about the oddities on the crucible... they weren't on the crucible. They were on the citadel. Which is by far more strange, especially when there's inexplicably a pair of small human-style towers at the spot where you get off the "elevator." No organics have ever been there? Human objects already there? &*%$?

Yea. Greatest troll ever. But seriously, ending would be even worse if you couldn't see colour. You wouldn't even know which stupid option was which.redBadger14 wrote...

Agreed. And that everything (the elevator, and much of the other features of the citadel/catalyst) are all tailored to human sized organics. So if commander shepard was an Elcor he/she would be screwed.Cloud Varis wrote...

The child also says "Wake up" instead of "what are YOU doing here?" When you enter the catalyst area.

The ending was grand. leave it be.
When you put it that way... it makes it sound like you're an as****e.

So I was wondering about what 1M1 meant since we seem to have concluded that its on the Citadel rather than the Crucible. I found a thread suggesting it could be a date reference, 1 month and 1 day from release, and that just happens to fall on PAX. Maybe we learn the truth then?
Woah. Okay I've never been a believer that the 1m1 meant anything, but that's a hell of a coincidence.
1M1 is outside the Citadel in ME1 as well. You can clearly see a part of the presidium has that logo when you shoot out the window to the elevator at the end of the game.
It's nothing special, people are looking waaaayy too much into 1M1.

Its not as subtle as that. It has a slight similarity to the sound Reapers make when they fire, and is more akin to synthetic growling than humming imo. I'm searching a video right now for the sound on Thessia.

Btw not sure if this is related in anyway but dr chakwas scanned me when she came aboard the ship and i figured at some point there would be a answer to if she found anything, did i miss something?, thought that would be a sly way to find if something is up.
Its the same as the prothean VI. There's nothing to scan for if you're not indoctrinated.
Shep isn't indoctrinated.
Shep is in the process of fighting off indoctrination

Agreed. All the opponents of this theory are so hostile towards it. I don't really get why it's so hard for them to discuss it logically instead.Lugaidster wrote...

Agreed agreed. Its silly because most of the hate threads or "holes in the indoctrination theory!!!11" threads are either:
a) Completely incorrect and don't understand the indoctrination theory.
c) Say that this fanbase is deconstructive (which I don't understand at ALL).
d) Are people who think the ending is amazing and shouldn't be touched at all (and if thats the case, just stop lurking the forums and dont buy the upcoming dlc!)
