C'mon don't see thinks where are none. Overinterpretation is not a good road to go down to the dark side it leads.
My shepard is gay and he did not die.

As I said that is no breathing. If my breathing would sound like that the first thing I would do is go to a doctor.
It is just a echo/hollow effect to transport the feeling of a large space.
... This whole theory runs on the assumption Shepard is knocked out from Harbinger's blast. I'm pretty sure that our breathing would be rattley and gaspy like that if we're in the midst of fighting for survival.

Does anyone have the art book on them?? I have the big Mass Effect Universe art book on my lap, this is probably in the ME3 art book in the CE as well. The Cerberus Headquarters page has one page of TIM's "room" (where the Kai Leng encounter is) and the other page is everything that happens after Harbinger's beam. Literally. Has anyone else pointed this out yet? Is it confirmed to be recycled art or something? (page 173 in The Art of the Mass Effect Universe, pages 62-63 in the ME3 CE art book but there's an illustration missing)
I have the book! I'll open it now and give it a look. :U
Yeah, I did my best with my awesome phone picture haha

I don't know what you are all hearing but that is pathetic. Inbreath after all shots but that it could be an echo is not possible? Did you listend to the voices and didn't they sounded echoing?

It could be an echo, however we've already established without a doubt that most of the voices and sounds during this scene are multiple sounds layered onto one another. The Catalyst's voice is Femshep/maleshep/the child/ and likely Harbinger. It's not any sort of stretch to assume it could be breathing.

Uhh... I am seriously not sleeping properly with how this ending doesn't sit well with me. I know it's "just" a video game but I've invested alot of myself into the story, you know?
I know what you mean. It is totaly strange to me to, that this feels like it does. No media on the planet made me feel that way. That is something BW did well but it still is not a good deed.

Anyone else losing faith here? I don't know, unless Bioware comes out and does something that directly contradicts this theory, it's still going to be how I interpret it...but...I just don't think Bioware was this clever or has any future plans for this. The line...it's moviiiiinngg.....
naw...they are just trying to figure out what to say I think, because they have to know how much is riding on it. They think before they speak...

I'm pretty sure is just recycled concept art. (I have the ME1 bonus DVD for the concept art and spent hours rewatching interviews with the art team. They seem to just have vague grasps on where the story MAY take place and that fuels their inspiration. Then some art is scrapped and set aside.
Seems like (for TIM) they wanted to use the human reaper from the collector base to make him into a reaper humanoid boss (see page 146). However, I think we can imagine how difficult a boss like that would be to implement into the game. Especially animation wise with many of the details etc. It would also ruin the confrontation of the ending / catalyst.
Marauder Shields is a good enough boss for me.

True but in sounddesign you always use sounds that sometimes have nothing to do with the actual object what it creates. As the reaper voice of the first ME. It is if I recall correctly a trashcancap or a metaldoor...not sure.
