For me these theories are total bull**** from those who cannot accept the fact that game ended. Really, I doubt that Bioware would do an ending which was a mystery for 99% of the playerbase. It makes no sense.
I mean: the current ending doesn't give perfect answer to everybody, but this "hallucination" would be even worse. "Just for 10€ you can buy and find the TRUE ending of ME3. Not everything is how it seems!!!!!" I want to have the end of story in the game. Not in a freeking DLC.
Oh god, please Bioware, not this....

The way the current endings are prevent any extention of the mass effect universe.
No FTL drives. No Mass Relays. No nothing.
They already announced they wanted to expand on the Mass Effect Universe.

Not to mention the explosions of the Mass Relays would have blown the systems to high heaven... not that it matters because the gaping plotholes in the story were meant for bullsh*t speculation.

Jessica seems to be doing damage control.

Yeah.

"blah blah blah, we're listening, blah blah blah, buy our DLC"

Nothing conclusive.

He can bring Mr. Thax' krogan.  He'll tell us to have a pleasant day and such.  And then we won't be able to sleep because of how creepy the whole thing was.  Again.

Hold the line guys, seriously. If we give up now, they will just cast us as whiny people who were just mourning poor Shepard, thinking it was some natural thing and the ending was just that powerful or something... We all know its not like that, keep fighting. This is no good PR for everyone to discuss this ending, this is simply because its horrible, in every sense of the word, explained for over 600 pages, DONT GIVE IN! HOLD THAT LINE!!!

Again, DLC isn't central to the theory.  It leads to a strong possibility of DLC, but the theory doesn't call for it.

I don't understand why what you just said is so hard for Indoctrination theory haters to grasp.

Because too many people are going around saying there will be DLC because of the theory.  Just like with the jumping at every design element to try and further boost the support of the theory.

People are forgetting the core of our theory, and that's where a lot of the fighting that kicked off yesterday came from.

Not sure what to think of the press release. Just sounds like more of the "We are listening" stuff we have all come to know. Yeah Shepard's story isn't over, but they fail to mention whither or not that is Pre or Post ending DLC.

Guys, remember, this isn't a general ending thread. If you want the theory to be more acceptable, work on refining it. Figure out what is actually important and a solid foundation for the theory. Forget the infinity pistol, forget the child when on Earth, forget the trees.

Focus on what made you believe in this theory in the first place...what gave you that moment. For me, it was choosing the synthesis ending and seeing Matthew Shepard exhibit the physical qualities of a heavily indoctrinated individual after suspicions from the final dream.

Hold the line, but don't lose the reason why you are while you're doing so.

I think it also could mean: "Yeah we know our writing was bad but please buy our upcoming DLC it would not be ending dlcs though."

Trying to hold the line, it's not an easy feat to hold that damn line.

I'm reconsidering writing a fan comic based on the indoctrination theory, mainly because I find it more plausible than the actual endings themselves. Thoughts?

How are things like infinite pistol and Harbinger's avatar not part of the theory?  Just because you may think they're not relevant doesn't mean they others can't think they are.

Wait, but chris just made a forum for the ending, does that mean that the indoctrination theory is wrong?

To help maintain the point of the thread I will throw in my moment of Indoctrination theory acceptance: when I found that the 'Destroy' ending featured Shepard waking up IN A PILE OF RUBBLE. Waking up in such a situation is only possible if Shepard never went to the Citadel - the Citadel's rubble would be different, and even if it's Shepard, there is no way she could have survived the Citadel crashing on Earth.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think there's any way that ANYTHING could survive the Citadel crashing on Earth. I mean, that thing's massive. It would be an exctinction-level event.
