I would just like to voice out an old acquaintance of all of our Shepard's:

"You all know the mission, and what is at stake.

I have come to trust each of you with my life, but I have also heard murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.

We are trained for espionage; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way.

Think of our heroes; the Silent Step, who defeated a nation with a single shot. Or the Ever Alert, who kept armies at bay with hidden facts.

These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.

Before the network, there was the fleet. Before diplomacy, there were soldiers!

Our influence stopped the Rachni, but before that; we held the line!

Our influence stopped the Krogan, but before that; we held the line!

Our influence stopped Saren, but before that; we held the line!

Our influence stopped the Collectors, but before that; we held the line!

Our influence will stop the Indoctrination; in the battle today and the coming weeks/months, we will hold the line!"

- heavily influenced by the great former Captain now Commander Kirrahe

We as a community of loyal Mass Effect fans must keep fighting to hold the line so we can save a series we all know and love too much to let it die by the plot hole infested endings we currently have.

@vinniewalker, it isnt human. go back and take a look at older posts. or replay the game.

i dont want the ending changed tbh, i just want all the plot holes filled in. regarding joker and everone after the relays exploded etc etc.

Same here. If they explained how the crew ended up on the Normandy, where they landed (according to Jessica, Joker did not jump through the relay - and yes, I know. She's not a dev, but she talked to some of the devs), and such... then yeah, if you got the ending where Shep lives, THEN its not a bad ending. Its still bittersweet. At least you'll know "OH, the Normandy crew is only X light years away. Someone can go save them and bring them back. And Shep's alive, so s/he is at the hospital and when the crew gets back, they go visit Shep and its all good. Earth still needs repairing though".

Really hope they don't just say "Deal with it."

I'm about 50/50. They know by now that the endings are pretty much disliked by the majority of their fanbase, hell, even if it was 30% that is still a lot of people that they would lose.

Most business is done by repeat customers. it is very hard to attract new customers. if they ****** off even 1/4th of their fanbase that can be crippling.

on the other hand they could just rely on the people who just took the endings at face value and went YAY GRIMDARK CAUSE I LIKE TEH GRIMDARK JUST CAUSE IT'S GRIMDARK. And proceed to just write us, the people who may have liked a bittersweet ending, but want logical conclusion to flow from it, off as a "vocal minority"

on topic. Honestly i think they biggest give away is how Shepard's eyes change. both green and Blue lead to him have saren/TIm indoctrinated eyes. Red doesn't show them

ok at this point it is safe to say that our theory was DEAD WRONG. They may yet change the ending our way, but looking on everything they said so far - it was not planned. Funny how fans have created more logical and more deep ending explanation then the writers...

There are a ton of clues built in, which is why the Indoctrination Theory gets so much hype.
It doesn't make sense, to me, that all of these coincidences would just be haphazardly tossed together by the writers, writers who seem to do a fine job for the previous 29 or so hours of gameplay

Exactly those last 20 or so minutes are so unlike the entire rest of the game, unlike the entire rest of the Trilogy. That itself should indicate that something is not as simple as it seems.

I ask myself where they got word from "New Content that brings "Closure"", Hudson's statement surely doesn't say anything like that.

Finally someone is talking sense now.
90% of the opening post can be countered with few words and other 10% is "possible/maybe", but there is no indication that it is a fact.

And I agree. It felt so far out of left field that I was expecting the credits to show up as: Story/writing for game. and then a completely separate entry for  "Ending writers"

I just don't understand how people can genuinely like the ending. It's the gaping plot holes that get me. I can understand somehow enjoying super strange and 'grimdark' endings. But all those plot holes? The relays exploding and NOT destroying every system they're in, how your crew members who had just been running on the ground with you are suddenly on the Normandy, where the hell Joker is running to and why. It just makes no sense. Oh, and Shepard being alive after the Destroy ending, if she had actually been on the Citadel. There's no way she could've survived the Citadel crashing. No way.

@SirLugash both of those bothered me a great deal as well, the reapers have been doing this every 50k year, harvesting all civilization to create reapers, each reaper is supposed to be indicative of its race, the last cycle harvested the Promethean and their sub-dominant races, yet not a single protean reaper was scene, nor the civilization before them whom had beard testicles like Indiana Jones from POTC. It makes me honestly question if this isn't just a reaper ADVANCED force, the ME universe technically takes place in the same universe as ours slightly in the future.

I think we did see other reapers, it is just not made very clear. At the end of ME2, we saw a reaper "baby"/core being bult at the collector base. Its implied that the the rest of the reaper wasnt bulit yet (which might explain how easily it went down). I'm sure if the reaper was finished, it'd have the same exterior as all other reapers in the game. The insides/cores differ, but the look samey on the outside.

I am aware of that, but I wasn't pointing at the human reaper larva.
I am pointing on the outro video of ME2 where you see the reaper fleet moving in from different angles, there you clearly see different looking reaper ships.

See here: images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110429155353/masseffect/de/images/6/69/Reaper_fleet.png

The middle one with the glowing "eyes" is Harbinger, but what with the rest ?

Oh hey, they don't all look the same. I had forgotten Harbinger wasn't the only one that looked different. Now I'm really bothered that they pretty much all look the same in ME3. :/

When you talk to EDI in the AI core doesnt she say something along the lines of "the smaller ones are all the same but the big ones (Like Sovereign and Harbinger) are of unique design.

You only fight the smaller ones in the game. So they should look alike

As would I.

Everyone always says they can easily refute everything, but never actually do.

Also "Bioware isnt that smart" is not a valid refutation. We dont have enough evidence one way or another to decide if they arent that smart or not at this time.

Pretty much every big one besides Harbinger that I saw in ME3, and we see a lot of them, looked exactly the same. They all look like Sovereign.

Shepard wakes up in the Normandy SR-1 med-bay.
Shep: What happened?
Anderson: You fell unconcious after tuching that prothean beacon.
Shep: What? Isn't Earth at war?
And: The first contact war ended way before you were born.
Shep: And the Reapers?
And: Reapers? You mean those with th hood and
Shep: NOOOOOOOO. Don't tell it was just a dream.....
to be continued in the next 10$ dlc

Yeah, I really wish someone would actually refute stuff on a point-by-point basis. Everyone's always just saying Bioware is stupid or saying that it would be pointless to do a point-by-point thing because the fact that Indoctrination is wrong is so obvious.

If it's so obvious then take pity on us poor ignoramuses and spell the obviousness out.

It would take so much time that I'm not sure if it's worth it. And I'm not sure if I would get anything changed by doing that. Everyone has their own opinions and Bioware employers have said that they could have not done better than the whole thread has put it out. As said. Even if this kind of ending would come out some day. I doubt that it was planned.
