Just think back to the visions from the beacons. Flesh merging with machine. Synthesis is creating a new Reaper or at least well...leading to it.
and saren himself said it. "The advantage of flesh and steel and the disadvantage of nether"
he was a vision of the future partly organic and party machine
so Synthesis would indeed be Sarens choice

So guys, I'm at the end choice on my current character.
Should I choose Destroy and resist indoctrination, or should I chooseSpace MagicSynthesis while playing this?
i think Nyan Cat youtu.be/QH2-TGUlwu4 would make sense with that.

Then this little ****** comes out of nowhere ans tells me what to do? He tells me that Synthetics and Organics can never work together despite the fact that Quarion and Geth ships are at that very moment blowing the ever living bugger out of the Reapers.
The only way it could have been more of a hallucination if the star *little ******* child turned into Chris Tarrant and forced me to play "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"?

Ignoring the fact I almost had to change my pants from laughing so hard, I'd probably go for Destroy every time. Keeping that hope alive.
How can we be expected to hold the line against Space Magic?
Damnit <insert favourite superior officer here>, I'm a soldier, not a wizard!

Taken straight from the final conversation with the Star Brat:
"But you're taking away our future. Without a future, we have no hope."
It's like Shepard is speaking for the fans, directly to Bioware.
And Bioware responds with:
"You have hope. More than you think."
i remember those lines too everytime i'm in this thread.
The other dialogue option, along the lines of "We don't want protecting" results in the last line being "You have choices, more than you know." Also interesting, methinks.

This is interesting. Here, someone on the comments says that "They destroyed the Mass Relays on purpose, so that they never get asked to make ME4, so that it's impossible to make ME4, so that people can't blame them for not making ME4."
That's true, but, what about the rest of us? I already have an adapted NSD20 RPG rulebook (I can't sale it, but I can use it) And if someone want to make novels? Or comics... Mass Effect has the potential to becomen in another Star trek, or Star wars universe. But now, is destroyed... With all his legacy...
Please forgive my horrible english spelling, but I'm from Spain... And here, we're holding the line too

Oh well, My Shepard came to the Citadel to do what needed to be done. That was to prove the Reapers and TIM wrong. I can only hope it was a dream-state of some kind and that the Geth didn't die to that decision.
Comin for you Harbinger!

watch this video and look at its title, look at the date of posting, background, color changes, and most importantly listen to the LYRICS. I think this pretty much rules out any possibility of the ending being taken seriously. Looks like the indoctrination theory is confirmed! :DD woo! gratz all who are holding the line!
Damn you and your subtle trolling bioware!

All I hear is sound of a gun and an error/warning sound when the bullet hits. I think it sounds similar just because the way it's coded. The gun was used to shoot the tube and the tube makes the noice even if you don't hit it. This would require my specific testing to see if it's the case, but I think it is.Vandicus wrote...
I think there's some kind of confusion between us.
The first bit of that video has Shepard firing shots, and immediately following each shot there's something that sounds like a gasp for air. I was trying to say that its possible to get the same reaction from the gun at any point after talking with the space kid, regardless of what the player fires at. A bizarrely similar sound is also possible to achieve by reloading. I'm not talking about the echoey sounding bit when the tube is just about to explode, its most audible in the first ten seconds of the video.
I can see your line of thinking then. What about the sound when shepard reloads though?(Note that shepard shooting off into thin air or reloading aren't in any of the videos i've posted, that was something I tested this morning)
The fact that you can fire the gun within the getting up animation, before Shephard grabs it is weird as well but I guess that's just a bug.
Took me some time to play it through again, but I don't see shooting nor reloading making a difference. The voice is definitely not breathing and IMO it's just part of the bullet voice when you add the echo from the room. Please people. This is nothing special.

Mass Effect 1 was a mind blowing re entry into the sci-fi RPG genre for me.
Mass Effect 2 is perfection given form, it is THE best ME game, ever. Period.
Mass Effect 3 is magnificent but in the whole barrel of honey, one drop of tar that makes it horrible.

Yeah, I mean, if it weren't for those last ten minutes, I think ME3 would've been my favorite. In many ways it still is... it's just those last ten friggin' minutes. :/

With ME3 music i was laying on my couch for few hours and my girlfriend took my headphones and asked "Why are you still listening to it?"
I said "I'm still thinking if its good, crappy or magnificent." And honestly...still am.
*gasp* Double post, thought someone would reply by now.

ME2 will always be my favorite, no offense to the music composers for ME3 but the score in ME2...just WOW. It was so...action packed, motivating. I just needed to listen to the tracks one time each to fall in love with them.

half of the reason the suicide mission was so good is the music playing during that last mission.
