I should point out that on consoles that the right trigger is used for Renegade interrupts and that the prompts, I would assume, also show up on the right side.

On consoles the Renegade icon flashes on the right side of the screen? And you hit the right trigger?

Hmm... so it seems reversed on the consoles, or on the PC, depending on your native platform...

Noted. Well, we're still conditioned to Red/Blue... unless that's backwards too ;)

I am pretty sure that the Red/Blue conditioning is not backwards.  Unless I'm backwards, too.  Must run tests.  (Tests finished)  Ok, I'm not backwards, unless the tests are backwards...

Run tests on the tests while testing, AND listening to Sovereign being wildly inappropriate.

.... I don't think that's a VI.

Listening now.  LOL.  As for the tests, I'll leave those up to Mordin.  Mordin: Would rather run tests on seashells.  Me: Oh fine, I guess after your heroic sacrifice you deserve a break.

Sorry Emperor, I guess we'll never know now, unless you decide to run the tests.

I remember rapidly clicking left mouse button to try to stop TIM from shooting Andy with my gun and feeling bad when it happened anyway. And then rapidly clicking left mouse button to try to shoot TIM before he could shoot Andy with his own gun and feeling awesome when I plugged the SOB. Does that help? :D

Maybe, I think shooting TIM should be a Paragon action, although that, as stated earlier in the thread, may be a hint that the red path is the one to take at the end.  BTW, anyone here play on Xbox or PS3?  We need someone to tell us which side of the screen Renegade interrupts are on on the consoles.

On ps3 paragon is left and renegade is right.

Just started believing this might be possible. A question I had: why would they make the "good" ending for the Destroy option so much harder to get? They make the other two options seem so good comparatively, but they take less EMS. The only logical conclusion is that the Destroy ending is the only good ending, and the rest led to reaper victory, as the EMS was so harped on about during the game.

That's exactly it. The only ending where there's even a hint of everything not being completely messed is Destroy, and you only get that hint if you have crossed a numerical threshold on your assets list and overall readiness.

Paragon is on the left side; Renegade on the right side of the screen on Xbox 360.

I believe this is one of the key points in the theory.

Something I noticed just recently, playing a + version of my first imported fem Shep...talking with EDI, I found out that the Reaper IFF is still in the damn Normandy. 0.0. This has probably been mentioned before, but seriously...you'd think that the Alliance would have ripped that bad boy out just to be on the safe side and then have tested and researched the bejesus out of it whether or not they believed that the Reapers were coming or not.

Another check on the OMG SHEP IS SURROUNDED BY REAPER TECH!!11122@ XD

Why did someone come into indoctrination thread selling dlc? and why are we talking about multiplayer all of a sudden?

Enjoy the infiltrator, I'm currently making my ME3 run with one that I imported.  BTW, take the Widow Sniper Rifle on the Collector Ship in ME2.  Trust me kid, you'll thank me later. ;)

I have the Widow for my Soldier. Decimating anything in sight plus getting an instant reload from Adrenaline Rush is extremely fun ^_^

Anyone know good weapons for my squadmates to equip? So far I find Garrus with Raptor and Revenant makes him fire the most often. Mattock, Valkyrie, Argus and Vindicator make them pop up, fire a quick burst then hunker down again for ages.

I can't speak for the DLC, but the multiplayer just sort of flowed from the conversation at that point.

I'll remember to do that. Heck, maybe I'll even try out the ME3 multiplayer...

My ME1 Infiltrator had 100% completion in 10 fewer hours than did my Adept. I think it's probably to do with having the wiki planet index open in steam overlay. But on the other hand, power cooldowns used to be a lot more painful than they are now. Then of course in 2 and 3, Infiltrator is just boss. Really want to try it in multiplayer.

The infiltrator is very capable in multiplayer, but he does not have incinerate like in single player.  The human infiltrator gets cryo blast and sticky grenade as his powers in addition to the cloak.

I convinced a friend to drop soldier for the quarian engineer he picked up at random, and we've seen how much fun can be had with cryo. I'd think giving it to the Infil for MP would be to make up for not getting the SP time-dilation effect. I'm just hoping to unlock one and get some small bit of xp before actually trying it out.

Would also help if it'd stop giving me bleeding shotguns.. though that could be fun to bust out of cloak with too, hehe.

Yup. I always have to take my hand off of the right side of the controller so I won't get all impulsive when the icon shows up.

It looks like the inputs are reversed on consoles - I found this screenshot... but I have no idea how accurate it is.

First off loving this theory...and have something else that may add some support to the theory in a roundabout way.

I finished my first play thru this morning and managed to avoid spoilers and such...course when I saw the end I was like this

Ok so maybe this just covers a loophole or bad writing but in the codex when discussing FTL it says that:

"If the field collapses while the ship is moving at faster-than-light speeds, the effects are catastrophic. The ship is snapped back to sub light velocity, the enormous excess energy shed in the form of lethal Cherenkov radiation"

So when the Normandy gets pulled out of the "supposed" relay or FTL jump it starts to break apart but then lands on a planet and everyone is ok?!  Shouldn't they all be dead from radiation based on the definition in the codex about FTL?  Just one thing I noticed...can't even say why but it was something that caught my attention. Again just seeing what I can do to support the theory.

Following the current discussion of Paragon and Renegade scree prompts, did you notice that a lot more renegade responses equaled good outcomes, like when you're with James in Purgatory and you buy the other soldiers a drink?

Well, the Revenant is a great weapon, and I actually got the inspiration to equip Garrus with it on my playthrough from a fan fiction, Fight for the Lost, and novelization of ME2.  I currently have Garrus equiped with something else, the Argus, I think, but I might give him back the Revenant.  As for sniper rifle, I'm surprised you have to ask.  Garrus could probably do some serrious damage with a Widow, and he is not bound by pesky weight issues.  Yet another reason why Garrus Vakarian is more awesome than Chuck Norris.

Because all of the doom and gloom is a downer, I didn't sell anything cause I dont know if they'll make the omega dlc or not...some people like to be positive. I'm one of those people and one that thought of Indoctorination while playing the ending. I also posted my interpretation a few pages back so... don't think I just came in here off topic lol

I was kind of puzzled about that one... I had quick saved just before the convo, and reloaded my game to see what would happen if I chopse the Renegade choice (was doing a Paragon playthrgouh)... It seemed likea more Paragon thing, to make the choice - given that the context of the cutscene was about leaders spending time with thier subordinates.

Indeed, weird. Also of note, I think, is Conrad's dark energy dissertation which talks about dark energy having the potential to influence the flow of time, and this work being integrated into the Crucible.

I was being paranoid, should've done the alien smiley lol. Plus I actually see indoctrination theory as a positive, not doom and gloom at all
