 Well, it would make sense if the reapers want Shepard indoctrinated and just use TIM to bring them Shepard. It would also make sense that the information that the Citadel is the catalyst is only to distract Shepard from the fact that he is the catalyst. Which would also make sense because of the definition of the word catalyst. Also, with the destroy ending, the Citadel gets destroyed but Shepard doesn't. But even without all that, i still think that this theory is the best explanation for all that happens. I really don't think that BioWare would create such a great, detailed game and then make such trivial mistakes in the last 10 minutes of it.

And tbh, I just don't want to accept that all choices in the trilogy simply don't matter because you get the same ending anyways.

i dont know if he is under reaper control during me2 or if he falls under it between 2&3...i never read Mass Effect: Evolution, just what is said in mass effect wiki...

He got those eyes in the comic Evolution when he got in contact with a de-evolution device/beacon from the reapers, although it never really gets mentioned or noticed through the books as far as I know.

Not about to read thru all 692 pages but has it been mentioned about the conversation with Eve. She tells Shepard about becoming a Shaman and had found some sort of crystal. Giving it to Shepard and telling him that in his darkest hour when all hope seems lost it will help guide him to safety. There are other small things said by others in the game that I am catching, on another play that I overlooked the first time.

Plus all the odd sounds you can hear throughout the game. Like something in the back of your mind or almost hiding in the shadows. I not sure how many times now I have stopped when something like that has happened. Thinking wth was that.

It's a crystal. it glitters and shines. Like, you know, a crystal.

It's meant to just show that there is always hope even when things seem darkest

There was a scene where you had it in your hand, though I can't remember where exactly but afaik it was still on Tuchanka. And no, no shard, more like a yellow glowing ball.

It's a guddamn crystal. It can reflect light at the very best.
If I remember, it's the one she used to dig out the cave she was closed in.

He can, y'know, try to hit Harbinger with it, but I doubt he'll leave a dent.

Prothean shards are big plated shards, the shard Bakara gave was more a tiny piece of glass if I recall correctly, it's from chuchanka, it endures so maybe it gives off a bit of resistance to anything including indoctrination and pulls shep out of it. 

Or is that a bit too far fetched? ;p

This is why i continue to keep faith in Bioware that they have an ace up their sleeve.

Bioware still hasn't gotten into defending their endings yet. This is pretty big in my eyes/

They've simply stated they want more people to experience the ending before getting into it.
... they want more people to believe that was the real ending.
Hell, I thought those were the real endings the first time through, as out of place as I thought everything was, until I started thinking more about it.

Haven't they started defending it already? Chris Priestly on Twitter and Casey Hudson's statement.

Casey's was ambiguous and I never got the impression Priestly's ever really been a fan, just seems like a job. I mean, compare him with Jessica Merizan. He's probably pissed at how busy his job just got.

There is this marauder that poped out of nowhere, grabed a M20 Cain from our arsenal and shooted the Reeper right on the eye !
That was some pretty blast ! The Reeper never saw it coming.
After that he engaged the brutes on close combat and started to cut heads one after another just like you would cut flowers !

When finally all was over, I approached him cautiously and asked for his name.
" Shields.... Marauder Shields " was his answer.

He then dropped his weapon and walked away towards the sunset.

This marauder just saved my hole brigade !
