I still think that the cryptic tweets stopping the moment this theory started gaining attention is far beyond a coincidence..

Actually I was thinking that too. I remember them saying "that is a good thing to be aware of" or something along that lines about the squad being abord the Nomandy. As if they wanted to point us to this theory, stopping the "hints" when some people "got it".

I doubt people will forget this. This is not "give time, and they will give up". Bioware, you have to choose. **** your fans or complain them, but do not stay silent.

To be quite honest i dont think there is an end to develop, only one that is finished and ready to be released. I think that the ending we have at the moment was quite planned.

Why? Well first of this is getting them an enomrous amount of attention, even if it is the bad kind and think about this. If the Indoctrination theory is true would it have had the same impact if Sheaprd simply woke up and we found out it was all a dream?

No by keeping it all ambiguis with the credits and all they get alot of attention and once the truth is revealed it is all the more powerful. Essentially this "Indoctrination" involves not only Shepard, but us the players as well. There are ones who took the ending at face value and those who dug deeper to find hints and answers to the things that did not match.

Yes this all relies on guesswork based upon a theory, but i think that is the case based upon the logic of this theory and Bioware´s reaction. I think we only have to wait.

But until then the Salarian STG team in Denmark will hold the line. Currently fighting through the streets of coopenhagen trying to stay ahead of Reaper forces and avoid getting pinned down.

Oh and just for fun, how many had a reaction something along these lines when they saw the ending?

Just a useful side by side of the ending flavors, if anyone needs the reference.

I think that, just because the game wasn't released everywhere until three days ago, they want to give everyone everywhere a chance to finish the games before saying, "Guess what? You don't have to settle for this ending. We're working on it." You know. Make everyone rage just a little.

If we win this thing, i will devote all my time and effort into handing every single soldier here holding the line a medal for their service, ill ask for some small personal information and how you contributed to the cause, and ill make a little story for each and every one of you, even if it takes me months to accomplish. Hear my words. Hold the line!...

I think that too and I really hope it is true. It explains all the ingame stuff and their first reactions. If it proves wrong, I would be really disappointed because I just can't imagine the same team that created the rest of the game putting all that stuff there coincidentally. The thing I am most sure of to not be coincidence are Shepard bleeding from the Shot at Anderson (I did not have that situation in my playthrough but it was brought up earlier in this thread). Also some other stuff, like the oily, shadowy, dreamlike stuff etc.

QFT. I mean, look how much coverage it's getting for all the raging. When would CNN actually talk about Mass Effect otherwise? Pretty smart marketing, really. These are the same people that launched the game into space. :P

I don't know. Everything I've read outside this thread has indicated that they were quite surprised by the reactions to the endings. As much as I think Indoc theory solves the problems with the endings, I highly doubt that it was planned.
For a good idea of what I'm talking about, refer here:
http://social.biowar...ndex/10084349/1
Regardles of their original intetions however, do what you can to make it known that we aren't happy with the way things are now until we recieve the ending that we were promised. Remember Marauder Shields, and hold the line!

Quite surprised by the reactions to the endings because they probably wanted us to think about it and come up with this on our own before dropping the bombshell.

Instead what they got was petitions, hate filled rants on their Facebook and Twitter and general trashing from their "fanbase".

So yeah, I'd say they're surprised at the reaction of the endings. Even if this WAS intentional.

This is what I've been saying for a while. They'd be doign more, imo, if they really intended the endings to be this way.

Exactly are we to believe that EA would remain so calm when one of their greatest developers are receiveing massive flak from the fans if Bioware did not have something planned?

If they didn't think the internet would turn into a volcano of rage and hatred, then they don't know the internet very well.

True, but I still think they wanted us to come up with this on our own. Some fans chose not to, but there are those of us that did. It was probably a bad call on their part to rely on the fact that people would catch onto the endings... cause a lot of these people here are downright stubborn.. just saying.

I really hope they follow this theory. Everything simply connects, even the beacon they find on Thessia says that indoctrinated protheans stopped the crucible because they thought they could control the reapers. Shepard is not indoctrinated until the end, the reapers are trying to indoctrinate him through the various dreams and nightmares he keeps having, and in the end you are the one who gets indoctrinated or does not. If you control the reapers, then the reapers indoctrinated you, but if you follow the mission as always and destroy the reapers then you didn't get indoctrinated.

Yes, I know there is still the whole joker falling in a strange planet with the crew and the mass relays destroying themselves but I am sure they can rebuild them together, just the way they build so fast the crucible. Start a universe new, without reaper pressence. Has for synthethics dying, it can be a lie, because the reapers know shepard has made sacrifices before with a race like the batarians and saved the geth, they wanted to confuse him. Has for Joker and crew, they could make a DLC with the characters looking for ways to fix the ship and explore the area until they finally manage to get out and it would be nice because it would be the first time we can play as the other characters for a change, in the end they get out and they see different ships constructing the mass relays and they decide to join, they all gather at some big alliance ship and shepard arrives by surprise they all say their goodbyes and take different paths by going to their respective fleets of their race. Of course, this would be DLC after they explain that Shepard survives indoctrination and all that.

This is found in another thread on the forum, but someone put together all of the flaws we see in the endings into a well constructed document.
