So, looking at the clues etc wrt the indoc theory, I keep finding myself certain that Bioware planned this, and has essentially the Indoc ending cued up and ready to go.

What I can't understand is the way they are handling the reaction to the ending. I'd think that when the amazon rating started to plummet, and the disparity at metacritic got noticed, when reviews ( from reputable people who had actually played to conclusion ) started going south ... I'd expect something from BW. Something to act as a huge hint, at least. Something like their ME3 web page going black, with a countdown time showing.

that would be awesome.

the fact that they arent doing any of that is what makes me nervous

The fact they arent ding it makes me certain this was all planned at leas tto some extent.

If it was the intended ending, EA would be in full damage control mode now ready to defend one of its greatest and most important creators. But they are not, which should be a telltale sign that this is at least to some degree planned.

Here's an idea on how to get a response.
Twitter Gamble this:
The fans of ME3 are giving you three choices. If you choose not to respond, we conclude that the endings stand. If you respond ambiguously, we conclude Indoctrination Theory is correct. If you throw yourself in a giant beam of energy, the line will fuse with organic life.

LOL sounds epic

Good point, makes sense. But I wonder how long they can afford to stay silent… After a while, it will be interpreted as "this is actual ending, live with it".

And yes, I'm also hoping Bioware is just playing with, errr, indoctrinating us :).

I posted this in another threat but i kind of got "ignored"...so i just post it here again.

When they say they only realese dlc that is within the story. Is it possible that we might unlock with every dlc a little more of the whole ending?

Fun little thing I just thought of.

ME3 requires activation through origin, an online service. Most saw this as EA beeing ****y and wanting people to use Origin (which is probably also a part of it) but with this new development, that registration also asures Bioware that anyone who bought the game had internet acess and as such can recieve the DLC we suspect.

Interesting to think of, right?

True. But perhaps they're ALL IN. Can't deviate now.

This is especially true of the ME2 hold overs who only had long distance relationships.  There should be some sort of scene for them.  Especially Kelly, who lacked any sort of scene in both games.

Edit: I know Kelly had that whole fade to black thing, but that is not enough.

don't forget the console players. other possibility is locked ondisc content, but very hard to hide.

or EA/BIoware doesn't care about the 5% without a internet connection.

I have to say, unhealthy as it sounds, I actually fell head over heels in love with Liara in ME3. I mean, I loved her already. But I actually now have genuine feelings for a bunch of stunning blue pixels.

Can someone please tell me how to put the Indoctrination Theory picture in my sig? I can't figure out how.

Technically, releasing a DLC that contains the new endings wouldn't be counted as post-game DLC because it doesn't happen after the endings since, well, its the ending, which is considered to be "within" the story.

One thing I though about WRT the way Bioware is reacting to this.  What if its not DLC,
but already delivered with the game.  With some sort of strobe from the Cerberus network
that's going to unlock it.  If they set a time/date for that to go out ( associated with PAX East
maybe ) perhaps they are just gritting their teeth waiting for the timer to hit.

To be honest, I was never particularly fond of the Indoc-Theory.

And when that "Final Hours" App hit home, I thought the theory was pretty much done for.

However, after reading this I do believe there's something to it.

Or maybe I should say, I want to believe. My mind violently rejects the notion that the sheer amount  of logical inconsistencies could be overseen.
The surreality of the situation is so glaring, so very obvious that it's got to be intentional.

However, the App and the reactions from Bioware over the last few days, say otherwise
Here's my best shot at why:

The indoc theory was planned at some point, then gutted due to time and monetary restraints.

It was probably planned to be one, among many different outcomes, or maybe a prelude to the "real" endings, that is only resolved if Shepard manages to break the indoctrination by choosing "Destroy".
However, it has since been hastily retailored in the "different" endings that are now in the game, silently hoping that they'd get away with it. This also explains their glaring similarity.

This is the only explanation that let's me keep both my sanity, and my hope in that of the writers.

HERP DERP. I am stupid. I was fiddling around with image URLs and such, which didn't work.

Derp.

Holding the line. Officially, now.

It was when Liara first said "I love you, Shepard" that she had me, hook line and sinker. Admittedly I ran to her cabin after every mission, major or minor, in case I got a new cutscene with her... When Harbinger's laser hit, I was absolutely gutted, because I thought she and Garrus had died. I almost (ALMOST) even LIKED the Destroy ending, because I saw Liara get off the Normandy on the random planet, alive and well!

Like I said, unhealthy.

Was it just me, or did it seem like that in the last meld with Liara she went in to babie mode.

That's not quite what the documentary says. Its says they had planned a mechanic where Shepard falls fully under Reaper control but they had removed that . Well the game mechanic for us losing control of Shepard was removed, but that actually implies that the rest of the indoctrination they had planned is still there. We just don't lose control of Shepard.
