Guys, quick question about the VI kid aka God Child. Why exactly does it look like the child who got killed on Earth and was in Shepards dreams? I never understood that.

Ok. I can understand that. Is there any
non-indoc theory that would support why the VI Kid should look like the
Dream Child? Such as if we take the ending literally?
I like Indoc. Theory btw, i'm just trying to understand that part from both sides.

I do wonder...what is BioWare exactly waiting for. We did it, we solved the mystery.
Why keep the masquerade up? The longer they wait the more annoyed we are and the more ponies just return ME3 to the store or even sell it to somepony.
Not to mention the complete lack of official answer, did we scare them or something?
maybe they are waiting for more players to finish the game?
Admiral Jack, the game has already been out 3 days in Asia and 12 for the rest of us. Frankly if they are waiting I think it been long enough. I'm hoping for tomorrow, but odds are it'll be Tuesday.

I don't know if this video has been posted here yet, but it provides a great case for the ID theory, and it still leaves out a lot of the evidence amassed in the original post of this thread. It was this video that introduced the theory to me, and I saw it after I beat the game and chose the destroy option (why would I not do what I've been trying for 2.9 games to do?) and I was glad to see that if the theory is true, I made the right choice.
While I hope that this is actually a brilliant ploy by Bioware to make what I would consider to be one the best endings to any story in movie/video game history, most of me is cynical and thinks that they just rushed the ending, and that the fans are just trying to find a way to make the ending better than it actually was. I hope I'm wrong on this, there is a lot of evidence to support the ID theory, but I'm not holding my breath for anything.
Before I read the Indoc theory, I believe the child was a "higher being", but not a god. When he first meets Shepard, the kid believes that Shepard can't help him, thinking that Shepard is just some random human, incapable of doing anything. The second time you see the kid, he's going into the shuttle. Maybe Shepard can only see him because he's been in contact with this "higher being".RedShft wrote...

The dreams could just be a collection of Shepard's fears and guilt. The kid representing the guilt - the lone fact that Shepard cannot save everything. The reaper noises? Fear.
When you finally meet him in his "true" form, the kid realizes that Shepard can help him. Thus, he explains stuff and gives Shepard a choice to help him with his problem: the flawed solution.

Everyone.
I have been watching this thread for a few days now though my own suspecions are older than that and I am amazed of what i am seeing.
Even as what seems to be a sea of hate boils around us this thread stands among them, people from all around coming together and using information gathered from across the Mass Effect series are weaving a clear picture, a picture of what the ending most likely is.
If Bioware predicted something along these lines would happen, it has without doubt grown beyond their expectations. It is unlike anything I have ever seen from a videogame before, a passion and desire for the best of the series, as well as wish and belief that there is something deeper, it is beatiful.
The way i see it, the Ending has become our Reaper that we must slay and the Theory is our Crucible. We are not sure if it will work or what will happen, but it is our only hope.
And I say right now that I am proud to be part of all of this and I will hold the line alongside each of you until the end, whatever it might be.
Just wanted to get that out.
