Feros colonists were enslaved by the Thorian, but not indoctrinated. Only Shiala (the asari who gives Shep the Cipher) is indoctrinated, and in the mail she sents you in ME3, she mentions that the Reaper voice is back, but thanks to the thorian spores and the collective mind like she and the colonists have, it's ignored.

Lol im pretty sure thats fake, wrong font, but damn thats so funny.

Also has anyone pointed out the fact that the view from the citadel in the last scene has shepard viewing earth from an upside down angle? This makes sense spatially but in every mass effect game planets are approached right side up.  Probably looking to much into things, but maybe its reflective of this situation being completley irregular and strange.

Well, one last point... I don't think the ending was a halucination so much as that Shepard was "tapped in" to the Reaper collective and the ending was a representation of the code so that Shepard was comfortable in there. It's just that Shepard (i.e. the player) wasn't made aware.

When that happened with Legion during the Rannoch Fighter Squadron mission, we knew what was going on because Legion described it to us while we were walking around destroying yellow boxes that were essentially Reaper virus within the Geth code. And Shepard was destroying the viral Reaper code with a gun that had unlimited ammo, I might add. It looked all boxy in that virtual reality because the Geth weren't nearly as advanced as a Synthetic race as the Reapers are. Legion said as much himself when he mentioned the Reaper code. So I think Shepard was actually in a virtual interface controlled by the Reapers, probably it was Harbinger at the helm, representing himself as the God child to mess with Shepard to try and convince us not to destroy them. So parts of it were an attempt to Indoctrinate Shepard fully.

There was some sort of field emanating from the conduit beam, as referenced by the fact that they were having difficulty with targetting. I think it was that field that somehow allowed Shepard to interface with the Reaper programming and "tap in" so to speak. I mean, Shep was part synthetic too don't forget, which was probably why he had no trouble interfacing with prothean beacons as well. My guess is that was part of the process when TIM rebuilt him. During the Prothean quest on Eden Prime, Shep's eyes glowed "green" when interfacing with the prothean tech there showing Javic's memories. Green? Synthesis? Coincidence???

I dunno, I just think Shepard was the first one to be able to beat the Reapers because no other cycle had been able to create a hybrid organic/synthetic being such as he was that could actually interface with the pure synthetic reaper code to destroy them "from within". I'd even go so far as to say that Shepard was the catalyst, perhaps that's a stretch and the Citadel actually was the catalyst but it just doesn't feel right in my mind. I mean, the Crucible was designed to attach to the Citadel in order to use the Reaper code against them, but they needed a catalyst to make work. I guess that's why I lean to Shepard actually being the catalyst in conjuction with the Citadel, not just the Citadel on it's own.

Anyhoo, I'm just rambling now so I should go to bed. I just wanted to share my thoughts with all you open-minded, intellectually curious folks here in Indoctrination land. :)

I'll be glad when they come out with some extra information though, all this specualtion as to what REALLY happened is giving me migraines, LOL. I haven't had my brain tickled this much since the first time I saw the Matrix. Coincidence???

But I know this much: My Shepard was "The One".

Later all, keep holding the line!

Excellent video. Wish he talked about the death of synthetics in the "red" ending though.

I could see that, cetrianly a fresh twist on what has happened to shepard. It does accound for most of the strange happenings in the last segment of the game, interesting theory, I like it :)

Uh so just one thing I thought up while reading some indoctrination theory stuff. Has anyone thought that further proof that that ending was a dream or something because the child is in it? I mean he was in every one of sheps other dreams. His existence at the end kinda points that it is more then likely sheps imagining and not what really happened.

He'd better be.  I want to yell "This is for Akuze you [expletives deleted]!"  as I empty my clip into his lying, manipulative head.

I am certain that someone has posted this several times but I just saw it myself and was surprised by it. When TIM forces Shepard to shoot Anderson he is hit in the lower left side of his gut. Later, after Anderson dies following their conversation, it shows Shepard covering a bleeding bullet hole in the lower left side of his gut...he was never shot there at all.

It also doesn't show Anderson favoring where Shepard shot him.  He doesn't act like he was shot at all.  (Except for dying, that is.)  Posted Image

Yep, I caught that on my playthrough, and the lack of bleeding afterwards. Then I found this thread, and a lot of questions I had about the ending sequence made sense. I still see this as a theory, not absolute truth, but here's hoping that it is. It would make the ending of this series masterful.

If anyone is wondering when and how Shep got indoc. I found some strong evidence for it. I was recently replaying ME2 Arrival to prep up my fem shep and at the point where the head scientist said that the relic gave her a vision of the Reapers going through the relay and found out she was indoc., that is when Shep got zapped by it and saw the same vision. That point on is when s/he is getting indoc. Also, is a voice log (Somewhere near a window) said that the head scientist was acting strange and thought that everyone was getting the SAME DREAM as her.

Uh, uh, I don't know!  I would have said ME3, but based on this thread, I'm thinking it does not have space :wizard:.  (Although it definitely has :alien::)

Maybe you should do some research first before getting so angry over-something that's made-up? He never made a tweet like that.
