Something I do not believe has been covered (though it may as well have since I've only been reading comments from Page 600 and up) is the damage to Shepard and his armor after the Harby blast-o-doom. Obviously many people customize their N7 armor to look different and get them the advantage on the enemy. But it's what happens to the armor that gets me thinking.
Okay, so Shepard is shot (indirectly mind you) with a laser we have seen cut through buildings, ships, tanks, and so on. Bear in mind that Shep is only what? 10 yards away when it hits? if that?
Now let's look at the damage to his body, his left arm has had the armor melted/blown clean off, where the arm itself really only has shrapnel damage. No real burnt tissue from what I can see, just bruising and bleeding, if the beam was hot enough to burn that armor off of him, you can be damn sure that arm would be in waaaaay worse shape.
Now let's look at custom-ability. When I play, my Shep never wears a helmet so I was very surprised when he woke up and only had minor scars when his entire breast-plate was scorched and melted. Unless you are a girl, your chest really isn't that far out in front of your face, and even then the distance would be so insignificant given the power of the blast.
After watching other play-throughs, I have noticed that the same thing happens to people who WERE wearing helmets. How is it that your helmet can be completely destroyed (no evidence of it being around you anywhere when you get up) but your face, for the most part, is in good shape? It just doesn't make sense.
Now I have never seen anyone do the hammer team charge with anything other than some form of N7 on, does anyone know how he looks if say you were wearing Terminus, Inferno, or even Collector armor? Does that change what he looks like when he is limping away or what he looks like in the rubble?
