Anyone else wonder why a forum for a rated M game is censored? Food for thought...

And also, back on topic, have we reached a verdict on the child at the beginning? Is he a hallucination, or what? I think after the first time you see him it is. I mean, what 6/7 year old can climb up the side of a building in the middle of an invasion, and somehow survive being in said building, that gets blasted apart by a reaper, then crawling around vents with high voltage warning? Not to mention gets totally ignored by every other human being he comes into contact with.

No way.

Glad to see a lot more people buying into this theory. Welcome aboard, don't let the hate cloud your judgment of what may be a fantastic ending.

And to the rest of us, keep holding that line... and eat the fools who come in to troll us.

I have a question regarding some of the use of holding the line in this thread.  Is this a play on the ReTake's use of the line or no?

Honestly, I'd rather not see us use hold the line for IT if it's just about the IT theory.  This group can find it's on catch-phrase I think.  Saves the confusion and possible conflicts, just saying.

I am okay with that. I'm just not good at coming up with things like that, so if someone else wants to make one, that's fine by me.

For me, the ending wasn't an hallucination - by which I mean that, with all the clues pointing this way and that way and the other way and just ANYway, it's pretty obvious that one of two things actually happened. Either 1) They ran out of money to actually finish the game or, more likely to me, 2) They ran out of time, and so gave us a deliberately obscure, messy sort of ending to cover up the fact that they didn't actually make one or have time to make one in order to hit the release deadline - a deadline, incidentally, that means moneywise they are unlikely to have to pay any tax on the huge bounty accrued from these sales for at least a year.

Pretty sure "Hold the Line" is pretty universal on the BSN as "give me a better ending!".

Another valid point to add on. Also, he says the exact same line, no matter which convo op you choose there. And I mean, the part that really sold me was seeing that friggin kid climb over the railing where you beat down those husks. What? Come on now...

I was reading some ratings on german amazon and a majority of german users feel the same like all here. They even link to this and other indoc topics here =).
YOu even can see it in the rating on amazon for the game.

I've been saying #WakeupShepard in all of my tweets, I thought it would sound appropriate for the support of IT :)

I have no idea if this is just me, but the first time playing through and hitting the dream sequence... Was I the only one that thought "When did I start playing Silent Hill?" Because it's all foggy and creepy...

Also, the way Starchild says "I am the Catalyst" I couldn't help but hear it in the voice of Alyssa from the Silent Hill movie...

I'm German too and couldn't care less what other Germans think :P
With some additions/explanations it's the perfect ending. The whole game is a closure to every major, and often minor, conflict.

My question is, if you're playing as FemShep, and do everything exactly the same, does this "secret ending" scene show a female body in the rubble, taking a breath? Or, is it still a male body?

I guess the body really didn't change, my mistake. It's still her, you can tell by the voice, if it was some random soldier they wouldnt have changed it to a girl. Though I do feel for her, Harby blew her boobs off :pinched:

Yeah, my Shepard is a woman and that breath sounded female.  Wouldn't make sense to show a random N7 marine waking up in the rubble anyway, haha.

Yes it's the appropriate voices, and even 2 different videos depending on gender.
