And also, back on topic, have we reached a verdict on the child at the beginning? Is he a hallucination, or what? I think after the first time you see him it is. I mean, what 6/7 year old can climb up the side of a building in the middle of an invasion, and somehow survive being in said building, that gets blasted apart by a reaper, then crawling around vents with high voltage warning? Not to mention gets totally ignored by every other human being he comes into contact with.
No way.

Glad to see a lot more people buying into this theory. Welcome aboard, don't let the hate cloud your judgment of what may be a fantastic ending.
And to the rest of us, keep holding that line... and eat the fools who come in to troll us.
I have a question regarding some of the use of holding the line in this thread. Is this a play on the ReTake's use of the line or no?
Honestly, I'd rather not see us use hold the line for IT if it's just about the IT theory. This group can find it's on catch-phrase I think. Saves the confusion and possible conflicts, just saying.

Anyone else wonder why a forum for a rated M game is censored? Food for thought...

I am okay with that. I'm just not good at coming up with things like that, so if someone else wants to make one, that's fine by me.

I've been saying #WakeupShepard in all of my tweets, I thought it would sound appropriate for the support of IT

Also, the way Starchild says "I am the Catalyst" I couldn't help but hear it in the voice of Alyssa from the Silent Hill movie...

With some additions/explanations it's the perfect ending. The whole game is a closure to every major, and often minor, conflict.

Yeah, my Shepard is a woman and that breath sounded female. Wouldn't make sense to show a random N7 marine waking up in the rubble anyway, haha.JTP117 wrote...
I guess the body really didn't change, my mistake. It's still her, you can tell by the voice, if it was some random soldier they wouldnt have changed it to a girl. Though I do feel for her, Harby blew her boobs offssltrain wrote...
My question is, if you're playing as FemShep, and do everything exactly the same, does this "secret ending" scene show a female body in the rubble, taking a breath? Or, is it still a male body?

Yes it's the appropriate voices, and even 2 different videos depending on gender.chkchkchk wrote...
