I didn't list everything in the video because nearly all of them are the subjective opinions of the creator. You can easily explain those the other way around.

Trees: I have an Xbox so its not simply print screen. But you can replay it, just run around a bit (before the beam hits you) and you can see all the trees. Even the smaller and bigger ones.

The easter egg is the breathing scene which is the only "real evidence" that there is something shaky going there.

Apart from that I love the indoctrination theory. Its a perfectly viable ending. But not a proven fact.

I am with you on this one. I love the theory and if it were true, it would certainly make a whole lot of sense but there is just NO evidence and hardly even any indication whatsoever to support it. Also some of the bits just don't really fit IMO. Part of TIM's dialogue is very specific and doesn't sound to me like it's some representation of an inner conflict within Sheps mind.
Also, if it were all about Shepard's mind and his indoctrination, all the CGI scenes that show stuff happening on the big scale (like the crucible docking at the citadel) don't really fit wither. They change the perspective away from Shep (especially since we hear Hacket talking to the fleet in the background). That would either be a bad move in the presentation or it's just real.
I know, all this is just as much conjecture, wild speculation and over-analyzing as the theory is in the first place but I think that actually is in favor of my arguments. If BW would have really thought it all out in such a convoluted way, I presume they would have gone that extra step as well.

Right, now, I see the theory as something we fans made up to make the original just hurt less and for what it's worth, it is good for that and I love it for that.

Because he was rarely in prolonged or direct contact. Any Indoctrination would be built up over the years the story spans and a strong mind can withstadn Indoctrination longer.

I would say at this point we have an effective military strength of... OVER 9000!!!  If that isn't enough to convince Bioware to say something, I don't know what will.

I remember reading how people hated the ending, this was before I had completed it. I always thought they were just your usual whiners that comes with every forum, but then I completed the game and boy was I wrong.

Shepard has been near sovereign twice,  destroyed some reaper artifacts like the one on a side mission in ME2, spent some time inside a reaper and fought against a partially human reaper on the collector base, and spent two days sleeping unconscious near a reaper artifact on Arrival. Plus all the reapers he faces in Mass Effect 3 and if the indoctrination theory is true harbinger tries to use this a bit aggressively and without too much subtlety while Shepard is unconscious. I think this is not a constant contact but it is a prologued one.

Hi all. I just wanted to point out a few things that I don't think are included in the first post.

First of all, this video is quite good at explaining the symbolism of what we see in the ending, rather than just what we're actually seeing:

Something I want to point out that I noticed myself is - look at the way Anderson and TIM are lying on the ground as Shepard is walking to the console: it's exactly the same. I think this further symbolises that they are in fact part of the same thing - the indoctrinated and free parts of Shepard's mind.

Secondly, not a lot is mentioned about the boy at the beginning (from what I can see on the first post of this thread). Another video by the same person as above is dedicated to this and it's pretty interesting:

Something I wanted to add on this (again I noticed this myself) is the way the boy looks at you just as the shuttle door closes. It's very... strange. A child wouldn't look at you like that if he was scared or in that situation. It almost looks like he puffs his chest out and taunts you, as if saying "come on then, give me your best shot". It's very aggressive. And his eyes... if you pause the video at that point his eyes and his general face just looks evil. This boy being a hallucination created by Harbinger is the only way I can understand where this look could come from.

Sorry if the videos or ideas have been posted before. I just thought I'd chip in.

Salarian STG team in Coopenhagen here. Just outran a massive group of Cannibals and are currrently hiding in The Round Tower, trying to get some rest. One would think the Reapers would watch such landmarks, but they seem uninterested in anything but tearing open safety vaults and harvesting those inside. Grizzly sight, but we cant help anyone or we die as well.

Need to get out of the city though. Running low on ammo and supplies and I highly doubt we can get any more intell from here. Wish us luck.

I checked the video and replayed the specific parts.  Everything in the video can be invalidated (not to mention some of them  are stated false like the trees. The trees are there when you are  running towards Harby).

The questionable parts for me:

1. Hackett radio (could have been an overlook by BW, but right before the radioing the Citadel opened so Hackett could assume Shepard made it)
2. Unlimited ammo (probably was easier for programming)
3. The final easter egg

That's hardly "everything in the video". I agree on points 1 and 2, but they're certainly not the pivotal arguments in favour of Indoc Theory.

Can you confirm that the trees are 100% there before the laser hits (i.e. with pictures)?

Also, does the "final easter egg" mean the Stargazer scene?

To be honest the most compelling piece of evidence in favour of Indoc Theory is the Shepard's Alive! breathing scene. It's categorically impossible that he's on the Citadel, given that the Citadel just blew up in the Destroy ending. Therefore he must be on earth (reinforced by the concrete rubble's similarity to Earth's environment).

And if he wakes up on Earth, there's no way he could possibly have ever been on the Citadel, because no-one bar no-one could survive a fall and re-entry from outerspace onto a hard concrete floor, let alone with no helmet.

I took a screenshot of the part before being knocked out by the beam. First I thought - as stated in the video which has been referenced - that the trees appear only in the dream, but as mentioned they are there before as well: 



Otherwise I think that the IT is the most intriguing theory at this point, and this minor fault is just that: minor. It hardly debunks the entire theory.

Got contact to a AFB near Cologne. They have some supplies. Not much but everything is better as nothing! Hope they're still alive. I contact them so that you get some medikits and ammo Hope that the air is free for the Jets and transporters.
