Well if the VR idea is correct, then actions Shep takes in there actually would happen cause he's haccking the code, like opening the arms so the crucible can dock. that was the whole point of running to the conduit right? to get the arms open to dock the crucible? how do you open the arms if ur asleep??? lol

The 'as far as I got with that one' was a point to the fact it doesn't really have the same 'that could make sense' as the IDT because as you rightly say if you're asleep (which he actually says btw) how are you hacking :/ sorry should have been clearer.

In regards to the people saying that the IT screws over people who didn't pick destroy, not necessarily. We don't know anything about how it will be handled yet obviously.

Not to mention, the Restart Mission save puts you back before you reach the beam, and if you want, you can do the entire Cerberus HQ mission to Earth all over again too, so it's not like you can't change it.

they're not above making it happen to fit the story, Shepard can't DIE in ME2, a Rachni Queen replaces THE Rachni Queen, the events of Arrival which is OPTIONAL DLC is at the beginning of the game for everyone regardless of whether they played it or not (technically on that basis Arrival is the end of ME2 btw)

The path to the finale stage in cerberus (the base or whatever) looks alot like the finale path on the citadel right before you see anderson.

Oh, and before you enter the beam that struck you down, you can stand there and watch people trying to run for the beam, everyone gets hit by the lazer and vaporize, how did shepard not do that?

right before you go up to the place where you see anderson, if you look to the right or left you'll see the moving walls that anderson talked about, though those walls looks alot like the walls from the shadow broker plane.

You have no shield left when you are in "God mode".

Health is always full though.

I didn't romance anyone on my 2nd playthrough, and the people who went to crashland with joker was prothy the prothean, and garrus, I had garrus and liara on my team charging for the beam.

He didn't say he was asleep I didn't think, will have to go read it again. I sorta got the Matrix reference when they were jacked into the matrix, their bodies were just laying there, they weren't asleep at all but their physical bodies were vulnerable. The geth mission showed that Shep could be remotely interfaced to the Geth consensus through equipment on the Normandy, he didn't need a hardline connection to interface with the geth consensus, I'm guessing he wouldn't need one to interface with the reaper consensus either.

First let me say that after completing the game and doing research on the ending because it "didn't feel right", I am a complete supporter of the Indoctrination Theory. It makes complete sense when taken in context of certain things said/done in this narrative (and The Arrival DLC). It also makes the Bioware writing team complete freaking geniuses.

That being said, there are a few people who feel that by bioware coming out and saying the endings are as they intended, this disputes the Indoctrination Theory. Bull. The endings are exactly as they intended, which is ambiguous, "not quite right", and somewhat final.Their plan was to make this feel like the ending, and a few months down the road (whether it be E3/PAX/Random Gaming Convention) when they announced ME4 and the endings of ME3 as indoctrinations, the entire gaming community would have a panic attack and herald them as geniuses.

Unfortunately that plan seems to have went awry with the amount of crazy outrage over the ending (to a video game guys!). They expected some amount of discussion, but this fandom meltdown has them reworking their timetable to get something out sooner.

And for those who still think IT is nuts, just look at the scene with the Stargazer and the kid. We witness Buzz Aldrin Stargazer guy telling this child what we assume is the entire narrative of Mass Effect 3. The end of Shepard's story according to those who believe the original endings happened right? But the kid wants another story about The Shepard. And what do you know Buzz Aldrin HAS another story. That is basically Bioware smacking gamers across the face and saying "Shep isn't dead...get excited!! And buy more DLC!". Without the IT, how is there any way to explain the Stargazer's last line?

Without a shadow of a doubt this is exactly what I think they were originally planning to do. I guess they didn't think it through enough and wanted to wow their fans. So I guess they will announce sooner rather than later

im not sure if anyone has noticed this, but i found really lazy programming in the ending:
after you get hit by harbringers laser, press your shoot key. you can hear the pistol shot and see the muzzle flash...even though shepard is lying in the ground and the small cutscene is going on

There is no 'victory'. They simply have said they like the ending the way it currently is.
The Indoc Theory, is a theory, an idea and a view of the ending from a different angle.

Honestly it hasn't been confirmed so it still stands as a valid theory. It also hasn't been disproven, so again, it stands as a valid theory. 

Wait wait wait..... You're saying that regardless of whether I think IT has been confirmed or disproven, it still leads to the same "valid theory" ending?!?!  Feels like I'm being suckered into a Mass Effect 3 ending minus the colourful explosions!  **Tongue-In-Cheek**

I noticed that too, you could also do that in the beginning when you are on Earth waiting for the Normandy to pick you up and when it jumps to the angle of the Normandy flying in, you can still shoot, melee, and you hear it all.

i've been offering this to every objector of IT for days. nobody's been able to claim it.

 I feel it's important to show how the game can continue if you don't choose red, because that would be very much a concern for people. GBGriffon brings up a lot of valid points. I posted this in his thread, and would like a couple of opinions. 

If you chose anything other than Red:
Hmm they could always make you pull a Saren. Even though he is indoctrinated he sitll keeps flashes of his own personality. It's why he could kill himself in an attempt to stop being controlled by Sovereign. Translating that to Shepard terms would perhaps be something like you wake up regardless of your choice. You don't realize you're indoctrinated until your "final confrontation with harbinger" (No Items, Final Destination of course). You fight against harbinger alongside your team but before you truly beat him you feel the control he exerts over you.

He could even attempt to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL. At this point you have choices. You can willingly let it happen (A bad ending to watch, I'd choose it to see what happens) Or you can fight against the control one last time and kill yourself thereby weakening harbinger so that your allies can finish him. Much like what happens to Sovereign when you kill Saren who has been directly controlled.

Just a thought. I can clarify something if you'd like. And I will readily admit it is by no means perfect. I just came up with it on the spot. 

 it'd give options for the various endings. Like if you chose Blue you are destined to get to the bad ending. Seriously, who the hell chose blue expecting to be able to control the reapers . Shepard is fully controlled by the Reapers and you get to watch them purge the galaxy. "But the future refused to change" Chrono Trigger. Always relevant.

Green leads to a potential bittersweet ending becuase you can beat the reapers at the cost of self-sacrifice, and one that I think coudl be done EXTREMELY well. OR a dark ending that has you being essentially a vessel for the leader of the Reapers. Also potential to be quite cool. I always wondered what it would have been like to take Saren up on his offer in ME1 to join the reapers.

Red leads to both a bitter sweet ending like if your ems isn't high enough. You have to die to take down Harbinger, but by doing so you guarantee that he'd be weakened. but you could also have the "best" ending if you are prepared enough.

Because, I have seen multiple people (myself included) say they believe that at the end, the galaxy is representative of the neural pathways in Shep's brain, with red being the brain rejecting indoctrination, and blue/green accepting it.

If the chain reaction does in fact start in the Viper nebula, we could assume that Shep's brain perceives that zone of space as being where indoctrination started (by being unconscious near Object Rho for two days), hence why the chain reaction of rejection/acceptance would start there.

We did in fact verify that it seems that the chain reaction starts in the Viper Nebula, which makes no sense, because the only Relay in that system was the Alpha Relay, which we destroyed.

Now.. that's EXTREMELY interesting! Either very good evidence or a giant ****up.

I know I am late to the game on the above subject, but I just wanted to provide evidence in the form of a screenie to confirm the theory that the beam does, in fact, start in the Viper Nebula:

Not to mention the fact that as you watch the video of the relays, the beam doesn't reach the Local Cluster for quite a while!
