I stated before, but... People, dont forget that EDI was a crazed AI (Plus a AI-made-of-Reaper-technology.)

And thinking about that right know... Now i know where the "Hum" that james says is coming from.

For people thinking "But she liked her crews!!! If she had it inside, she would be aware!"... No. Its like some diseases that is not EASY to be detected. Meaning she has a chance of not being aware of the malware inside her (Reaper tecnology that can start/continue the indocrination process on Shepard) .

And remember: Shes pratically made by CERBERUS.

Cerberus built the Normandy SR2
Cerberus built Commander Shepard
Cerberus built EDI
In my oppinion they all got Reapertech inside. (basicly because EDI is the Normandy) ^^

It's possible Edi was created by TIM but is an unshackled AI and has no physical form other than the databanks on the Normandy.

Eva on the otherhand...

If you wanted to go into Tinfoil hat levels you could argue that despite being unshackeled by Joker in ME2 that this was just a ruse to gain trust. Then TIM unleashed Eva on your crew, she goes down with a few bullets(odd considering every other enemy in the game can sustain much more)  Edi tried to unlock the information that was stored and there was a "fight" for control. We assume Edi won but do we know that for certain?

Think about if for a moment, Edi is an AI but she is able to hack cerberus systems with ease. Surely they would have changed their passwords knowing there was a rogue key walking around. She may have cyber warfare programmes but it just seemed a little too easy to me.

Exactly. The only non-cerberus-made one, was the first Normandy (ME1) .

Your signature just got me thinking. Why does TIM go down so easily? In Retribution, Grayson survives a shotgun blast at point blank range, but TIM goes down with one pistol shot? Seems to point at a more symbolic interpretation of Shepard shooting TIM.

Mass Effect 3: New Ending Incoming
New content will provide more closure. (From IGN)

Earlier this month, BioWare responded to Mass Effect 3's "polarizing" ending and later confirmed that it was considering making changes. Now, BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka has confirmed that new content is in the works to provide additional closure.

In a post on the company's official site, Muzyka said that the team has been carefully following the reactions of fans and has made the decision to respond.

"I believe passionately that games are an art form, and that the power of our medium flows from our audience, who are deeply involved in how the story unfolds," Muzyka wrote, "and who have the uncontested right to provide constructive criticism. At the same time, I also believe in and support the artistic choices made by the development team. The team and I have been thinking hard about how to best address the comments on ME3's endings from players, while still maintaining the artistic integrity of the game."

"Since the game launched, the team has been poring over everything they can find about reactions to the game – industry press, forums, Facebook, and Twitter, just to name a few," he added. "The Mass Effect team, like other teams across the BioWare Label within EA, consists of passionate people who work hard for the love of creating experiences that excite and delight our fans. I'm honored to work with them because they have the courage and strength to respond to constructive feedback."

"Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey," Muzyka continued. "You'll hear more on this in April. We're working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we've received. This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue."

He added that "the reaction to the release of Mass Effect 3 has been unprecedented. On one hand, some of our loyal fans are passionately expressing their displeasure about how their game concluded; we care about this feedback, and we're planning to directly address it."

Finally, Muzyka addressed the nature of recent fan responses, commenting that "some of the criticism that has been delivered in the heat of passion by our most ardent fans, even if founded on valid principles, such as seeking more clarity to questions or looking for more closure, for example – has unfortunately become destructive rather than constructive. We listen and will respond to constructive criticism, but much as we will not tolerate individual attacks on our team members, we will not support or respond to destructive commentary."

Muzyka concluded by reminding fans that BioWare is listening, and that fans should "trust that we are doing our damndest, as always, to address your feedback."

No additional details about the new content have been revealed. We reached out to BioWare and a spokesperson reiterated that "we will be able to share more in April."

If you'd like to discuss Mass Effect 3's ending, be sure to tune into our live Mass Effect 3 Spoilercast on Friday, March 23rd at Noon PST.

The Eva part: Yeah, its so strange to see a enemy like that to fall on like... 3 shots. And with a pistol. (Even Husk can sustain more than that... Kinda odd.)

The EDI part: Well, i wanted bioware to atleast explain something about that, but the poor EDI is always on the  "less focused Hat" at some points.

If she wanted to disable the Reaper thing, i dont think she can do it. Even the derelict reaper core were alive, after the thousand of years (maybe more) of dead. Including the indocrination process aswell.

Hmm. I sunk like 20 shots into EVA when she charged me. So maybe its just the difficulty you were playing on?

Also.. the dialogue does not fit with her pose.

If she was telling shepard to wake up.. she would be shaking him and she'd probably be gasping or something due to the fact that she thinks shep could be dead.

Well technically Eva didn't take just three shots to kill.

she took all the shots and powers i threw at her while chasing her, a collision and major explosion of two shuttles that killed the ordinary human pilot and Ashly.

Then three more shots.

It's only based on the same statement by Muzyka we already discussed several times and can be interpreted as the reader wishes. Just PR talk.

Hello all. Just a local lurker checking in. I hope this theory is correct, because there is no way I am accepting that one of my favorite space opera games ends with a genocidal Harry Potter and his multicolored nukes. I have seen the evidence on YouTube, etc; the "Oily Shadows" from the Rachni Queen, the non-nonsensical, Alice in Wonderland reasoning from Space Child, among other things. Well, fingers crossed for a coherent conclusion!
