After everything that's happened, I've always been annoyed that the only emotions you can show are determined, annoyed, or pissed. After going through hell so many times I always wished the game would show the more vulnerable side of Shepard. I don't know about the other romances, but after you land on Earth for the last mission, when talking to Kaidan (romanced by femshep)  I was surprised to hear Shep and Kaidan's voices shaking as they were talking about how they probably weren't going to make it back. I know it seems like something that would be little, but it was a nice touch that was extremely powerful (and was made even more powerful once you looked back on the conversation after seeing the ending.)

I liked the Shepard Garrus conversation the best where they are talking about meeting at a bar in heaven and Shepard says "If I get up there and you aren't there, just remember I'll always be looking out for you."

Yeah I think they were handled really well, Garrus one is awesome too

Edit: @Sajuro yup and that is exactly what my Garrus romanced FemShep is now doing :crying: (just finished it earlier today)

It's looking down at you, I believe. And when her voice cracks and she says "You'll never be alone" I was sad.

Yeah, I do like how Shepard's emotional range in this game.

My first run trough was with a Male Shepard and a Tali romance.  They have a more subdued relationship, but it's cute.  I remember during one mission, they started flirting so much that the third party member (Ashley) basically told them to get a room.

On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, you have his/her priceless face when EDI jokes about forgetting to recycle the Oxygen on the Normandy.

I kind of want to think that Tali (my LI) and Garrus did die when Harbinger's beam hit, that way my Shepard could be with them again in heaven.

Yeah, I loved that moment between Kaidan and FemShep. Jennifer Hale went above and beyond in this game. All the VAs did (haven't played with ManShep yet, so I can't comment on Mark Meer's performance). Having emotion like that in their voices really helps the experience.

She sold it so well. Truly incredible performance.

If she doesn't win all the awards possible for this, I'll be even more disappointed than I already am.

This. This moment was just... amazing. Heartbreaking. Beautiful. I balled like a little girl, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The VAs did an incredible job.

Her voice acting was incredible and when her voice cracked, I started crying because I felt that my emotions were being portrayed straight through my Shepard.  Best scene in the whole damn game.

Yes.  The moment when Hackett called her on the Citadel, and she replied "What do you need me to do" just broke my heart.  She sounded so damn tired, so spent, and she was just determined to keep going, and all I wanted was for her to be able to finally rest.

Keith David did an amazing job as well though.

Too bad that amazing voice acting and character depth only added to the emptiness i felt when i finished the game and that awful ending...

Im not someone who plays alot of game but i started with kotor and loved jennifer hale as bastila, i though she was so good and funny. I usually play male in every games i play but when i heard she was the one doing her voice, I couldnt help but do a femshep and I sticked with it. And it has been worthing it every second of it, the way she cried with kaiden, the way she voiced paragon/renegade options in all 3 games were awesome. Those last talks she has with all the members were some of my favorite moments of the game

Hmm.... I wasn't a fan of Shep/Garrus in ME2, might have to give it another shot for ME3 sometime. =D So it had more depth than the "headbutt of love" in ME2? xD

The Garrus/Shepard interaction on the final mission made me tear up. Same when I thought Grunt was dead.

A LOT more depth. It was actually really sweet.

Shepard showing emotion was the greatest surprise in this game. I had a Sole Survivor, Colonist FemShep if that's not asking for psychological trauma I don't know what is. I always imagined she'd let it out in her room but help the 'I'm fine' face on the outside. So in Mass Effect 3 when you could see and most importantly hear (Jennifer Hale did amazing!) the pain and absolute defeat in her voice. Like after Thessia or during the end battle it was absolutely moving. All of the cast did very well talking to your love interest, (mine was Liara) made me cry a few times. The depth of Shepard was amazing something I've been wanting since ME1 glad they finally wrote it, Shepard is a human being with an emotional range at last. It's a shame it was thrown away with the ending though.

FemShep and romanced Garrus was the best stuff in the game. I bawled at their final conversation together. Again, Jennifer Hale's voiceacting in this game was nothing short of amazing, especially at that part.

Shepard's voice is extremely shaky when talking to Ash for the first time at the hospital.

I can't wait to see my FemShep's romance with Thane. Especially when he dies. I cried when Thane died while playing BroShep. I can only imagine what it's going to be like if FemShep romanced him.

After Kai Leng took away the Prothean VI on the Thessia mission, you can see Shepard was deeply affected as she hesitated to pick up the Asari councilor's call. It was a powerful moment, showing how much was weighing on Shepard. The one who faced down Saren, Sovereign, Harbringer and thresher maws had to brace herself to tell the councilor she failed and hope was lost.

Fortunately, Shepard was able to rebound.

I loved Shepard in this game. Seriously loved her. Jennifer Hale was amazing and they really made Shepard feel like a real person. It was wonderful.
