I agree. The audio guys deserve a huge raise for all of the stellar work they did. The VAs, weapon noises, music, everything was really top-notch. Awesome stuff.
When mordin does his nervous singing, that really got emotional. Never thought I would get teary-eyed over a game.
Nice to see Shepard FINALLY cry. (ending spoilers)

I agree Jennifer Hale was amazing. My Renegade FemShep is a damn tough cookie, but I really wanted them to ramp up the emotional strain for her and they definitely did. My favorite scene was with Liara when she talks about taking the Normandy somewhere far, far away and just living out their lives. That rang very true to me.
For some reason I can't quite explain, the crowning emotional achievement is Shepard alone on the Citadel just after Anderson dies. She is shot and covered in blood. Basically on death's door after doing the impossible and you can tell she would mind just staying right there to watch the show and drift off, her labors done...
But then Hackett gets on the comm and Shepard struggles to rise, falls, struggles again. "What... What do you need me to do?" Jennifer Hale's delivery of this line (along with the fantastic music) brought tears to my eyes. It struck me as perfect in every way.

Jennifer Hale was incredible in this game.
Yes. The moment when Hackett called her on the Citadel, and she replied "What do you need me to do" just broke my heart. She sounded so damn tired, so spent, and she was just determined to keep going, and all I wanted was for her to be able to finally rest.
Keith David did an amazing job as well though.
Whoever did maleshep did just as good of a job. That very same moment I was ust felt.."Oh gawd" and then seeing him crawl towards the button.
Both Shepard VAs did an amazing job imho. Both of them, infact, do a much better job than in ME1. I guess you get good at the role after three games.

That was probably one of the most intense moments in gaming ever. It was so painful to watch - you just want to reach out, give the poor woman a hug, and say "ssshhh, no, you rest now, we'll take care of it."
But there isn't anyone else.

Yeah exactly-that "What do you need me to do" is extremely sad in MaleShep voice...even before his death, he is trying to do his best, serving others...Damn it Im tearing everytime I play..:')

You know that aspect of Sheppard I was missing too .. to see waste some tears for fallen friend or something like that - in that part look Shep very severe, otherwise the jerk or cruel part was well handled

Old thread I do see, but what the hell? Half the emotion in the game was forced onto you through auto-dialogue, with another fourth coming through dialogue options that all lead to the same place. I don't play RPGs to have control of my characters thoughts and feelings taken out of my control.
