OK, seriously ...

Is there some way to turn it off?

I understand that it helps the setting, but I get migraines and this is seriously making it tough for me to play this scenario. I had to turn the game off finally after several tries at the first scenario. Making my eyes work this hard to try to see what I'm doing when I'm playing is killing me.

Neat idea, but I'd hate to not be able to finish the game or to get sick trying just because of the special effects budget.
