Makes you think about the movie that was planned for mass effect. We know how it is supposed to end. For some reason I don't think many people would go see it at this point.
Something to muse about.
So since we know how the endings are

I wouldn't watch it probably... partly because it wouldn't follow the idea of how *my* Shepard was but also because of the endings. We know how it ends and I hate how it ends so why watch a movie about it too...

I heard the one supposed to come out this summer is just about James and his failed mission. I heard that and knew it would fail.

Eh, Video game movies tend to suck anyway, so I wasn't looking forward to the rumored ME movie.

Well, if there are any future Mass Effect properties at all, that's about the only thing they can do, regardless of media.Ruari wrote...

Yeah actually. How will they do the ME movie?
This is going to be one of the most difficult movies to implement IMO as everyone has their own story of Shepard.
Will he be paragon or renegade? IDK? Will he choose R/G/B? IDK
It would be interesting for more film critics to look at the starkid section and go..."Dafuq is this?"

I imagine the end in movie form would probably get a much more negative reaction. I don't think movie critics are bought off nearly as much as game critics who hardly criticize a game unless it's unbearably bad.

what's the point if we ourselves aren't making the choices?

people go see the resident evil films and they not only suck they are nothing like the game so i'm sure mass effects movie could have a different ending in fact i'm sure it will after the games ending went down like a lead baloon

This. Also, movies are a lot more, shall we say 'mainstream' than videogames; that is, they enter into the public consciousness a lot quicker and with a wider impact.

The one people keep getting confused with the movie in production by Legendary Pictures is the Anime: Mass Effect Paragon Lost, due in fall. The live-action movie is rumored to feature characters from ME1, but with a new story (just a rumor).
Legendary Pictures has stated that they are in fact interested in making a trilogy, but I see that they'll have to change the ME3 endings (that's if they decide to go with the game plots).
