with all the uproar and rage about the ending being seen everywhere, i think a large source of anger is stemming from biowares lack or any sort of response to the criticsism. a simple "we know you guys are angry and we are working on it" is all everyone wants to hear, i agree they should have gotten it right the first time, but owning up to their mistake would be pretty nice. anyone from bioware would be nice from some intern to the executives, just say something to the angry masses.

Game was recently released in Europe. Waiting for more opinions from there.

Also this is super delicate. BW has to handle this very carefully or it'll be like a nuclear warhead going off.

I think they're still in denial about how hated the endings are.

"People don't love our incredibly satisfying conclusion? No way!"

It doesn't matter what they say, the forums will still go Hiroshima on us.

I couldn't imagine Bioware having the guts to admit they did the ending wrong. No human wants to be proven wrong and Bioware is certainly no exception.

However, we can all know that when Mr. Hudson goes to sleep every night he'll feel like ****.

Not everyone thinks the ending was wrong.  Bioware didn't, that's why we have those endings.

I am sure they will release a statement sometime during next week, or something. In all fairness though, it was only the ending that sucked. The rest of the game was fantastic. Full credit to everyone involved in making the game. Its clear that they put a tremendous amount of effort into it.

It would be an excellent way for them to prove that they care about their fans, but I don't see it happening. If we get even a reply of any kind within a month I'd be surprised. If it was about DLC endings I'd probably be in shock.

I'm pretty sure they have responded through dev comments via Twitter and forum posts; they just haven't apologized for it and don't care to explain it.

This is all just plain weird, whatever this turn out to be.

A sign that people will only be satified with a certain kind of ending to every story? was it really just horrible? All i know is, it made me fell like shi*. and i need some closer.....

For some reason I highly doubt we'll get an answer or even a recognition about the endings. They'll probably stay silent, sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened.

The only way I think we would see a response would be if review sites actually started commenting about the ending

Oh yea, except for 899 people.

err don't you mean 193?

Figure the 899 would be lumped in with the top since that part of the ending really bothers a lot of people /shrug

Either way his statement is still valid. the majority of people dislike the ending.

Unfortunantly bioware employees were unable to be reached for comment after police found that their entire writting staff had hung themselves...

Saying they are fine with the ending means they don't like it?

What exactly do you want them to do? Release a DLC that "fixes" the ending? They can't do it for free and that will just cause more people to whine about how Bioware is "charging them for the real ending to the game". At best they will probably just say "Sorry you didn't like the endings. We felt they were fine. Perhaps you'll like our next offering." And that is perfectly fine. And it is far better than what I am going to say. You didn't like the endings to the game? Too bad.

It will be a while before we start getting real official response. And then it will follow the usual corporate blueprint

First will be dismissal - "vocal minority" etc, etc

Then will come clarification - "people just don't understand, we actually meant blah blah blah"

Next will be excuses - "It's regretable that mistakes were made, but due to time/budget contraints blah blah blah"

After that comes backstabbing - Developer A: "I wanted to do it like the fans wanted, but Developer B put the kibosh on it..."

Near the end of the sales cycle, we'll get response - "We're putting out a new Mass Efffect 3:Director's Cut with a BRAND NEW ENDING, all for the low price of $90!"...translation: here's some half-assed retconning and tacked-on cut scenes so you'll forgive us and buy the Mass Effect MMO that's coming out in a few years.

Finally, years later, we'll get the introspection - "wow, we really screwed that up, didn't we?"

So don't hold your breath. There's still a lot of money to be made.

Truth be told, the game is still selling plenty copies. If someone apologizes for the "game being bad", it would damage the sales. I doubt that will happen.

Honesty is a virtue. Even hearing "We know your angry. We dont care. We have your money" would atleast not give us false hope.
