Do yourself a favour and stop playing the game before the final mission; wait for an ending patch, because it's terrible and will make you hate Mass Effect, BioWare, and your life.

Will never happen. Mass Effect 3's ending blows and we're just going to have to deal with it.

That is a good advice, but I'm sure most people won't follow it and regret their decision after that. :)

No, seriously. I'm not trolling here. Don't play the ending, you will never want to replay this game or any Mass Effect game again. Just some friendly advice from someone who underestimated how bad the ending was.

There's not going to be an ending patch. Bioware put on the ending they wanted. That's all it is.

I'm not completely satisfied with the ending either. But it is what it is. Not everything has to have the ending you want it to have. I'm sad right now, but I know I can come to terms with it. So no, I wouldn't suggest not playing the ending. Yeah, maybe making up your own ending might make you feel better. But just play the ending at least once, feel punching in the stomach like the rest of us, and gradually just come around to accepting it. It's honestly not that bad.

I know there's no patch coming, but I'm expecting them to charge for DLC.

Not that I'll ever pay for something so ridiculous.

Weren't you arguing it wasn't so bad a few days before release Cheez?

Quite the turnaround.

I was too, IIRC. The ending sucks. Funny thing, notice the gap of opinions of people playing the game and those who have completed it.

Incomplete Players: "OMG THIS GAME ROX LOLOLO HATRS ARE DUM!"

Complete Players: "WTF BIOWAR Y U DO DIS!!!?!?!? FUUUUUUUUU-"

I'd normally point out the hypocrisy, but even if that's true, I wouldn't blame her. I read the leak, for Christ's sake, and it was still mind-blowing to see how terrible the ending was. I could have never comprehended in a thousand years how bad that was.

Here's advice from a guy who saw the ending and enjoyed the ride.

Get over it.

It's different when you experience it yourself.

With all the time, money, and emotion I've invested in the series, I'm left feeling hurt, confused, and cheated.

I'm actually writing an alternate ending as we speak, one that accounts for player choice and the flavor of the series far better than what we got.  I'm cutting out the parts that added nothing or just confused the narrative, and filling the holes with stuff that would provide the player, or at least myself, with proper closure and a feeling of accomplishment.

Yeah the ending"s" (It's really one ending folks) are that bad.  And no it's not about being all sunshine and rainbows...for one the previous 30 hours of gameplay before the end make that impossible so really try again.  I even see how the ending I got one my first playthrough is kinda fitting for that Shepard in a supremely tragic way.  But because there is only one effective ending the rest of of Shep are up fudge creek without a popsicle stick.

I don't hate the ending. It felt kind of surreal and kind of like I got punched in the stomach after watching it, but I suspect that it was supposed to evoke strong emotion, and it did indeed end the trilogy. Which was its purpose, to really make it feel like this is the end of the Shepard saga.

The thing is this: I'm not interested in a bad ending or a good ending; I merely want a satisfactory conclusion to Mass Effect 3 that fits.

Well float me a copy. I can't say no to fan fiction.

Yes, it's considered fan fiction.

I just kind of ignore the whole Normandy thing and the ending worked out for me, considering I did the one that didn't totally have Shepard lose.

I was going to take the straight path but then I turned around and just said 'F u and yer perfect ending' and went with the right side. Felt good to stick it in the Guardian's face.

I'd recommend editing the spoilers out of your comment.

I prefer the term "substitute canon."

Watch me be a royal ****** and mail it to the devs.

I'm making that a meme.

They aren't spoilers.

I said 'Normandy', 'Guardian', and path. Out of context it means nothing.

Not really, living or dying can happen in ME2.  Why not in ME3?

Still not a spoiler.
