I dare anyone here, claiming to like the endings, to even explain them to me. I'm not even arguing style or taste here.

Explain to me, how any of the endings could work within both the laws of physics and the established perimeters (*science* fiction, remember?)

Explain to me, why any sensible Shepard would act in the ways the endings depict.

Explain to me, how characters who's charred corpses I saw on the ground, step out of a ship that should have been engaged in battle, hundreds of systems away.

Explain to me, how within the new perimeters, the story of the first two games makes any sort of sense.

And also - give me an excuse, any acceptable excuse for invalidating every single choice throughout three games, and for making all endings the exact same cutscene, recolored.

Personally I thought the game had gotten pretty stupid well before the ending, but hey that's me. Once I embraced the fact that I was playing a well-polished shooter, it was all good. BUt there wasn't even an ounce of "role playing" in this thing right out of the gate. But the shooter part is really, really good.

The end of Mass Effect 3 was supposed to be an end to the trilogy, if nothing bad happened and the Reapers were either destroyed or vanished then it would seem as if the story was to be continued.

The story had to come to a close, and they gave you the choice of how to finish your Shepard.

After spending fifty hours on my first play-through from importing a ME1 Shepard, I worried I would miss out on the perfect ending, because Bioware lied about the war assets without multi-play ( and also being able to hit level 30 to 60 in one play-through I played on hardcore from start to finish ) but during those last twenty minutes I was actually surprised at how well Bioware managed to end this story finally so I wouldn't have to play another one of their games ever again. I don't even want the "perfect" ending now because of how good one of the endings were.
Maybe it is the ending I chose - I have yet to see the other 2 normal endings which suck apparently.

"We synthetics kill all organics so organcis can't build synthetics which will kill all organics" If you tell me that this makes any sense and provides an end to the trilogy then surely you have not played any of the games. They had a perfect ending planed out (about dark energy) and it seems they scraped it for this piece of ****. I don't want a sunshine ending, I want one that makes sense no matter if Shepard dies or not, and one that actualy provides any kind of closure to the character driven story that is Mass Effect.

Perhaps one day they will make an alternate ending available as a pay DLC for $20.

I remember a certain game about a certain prince which offer an alternate (good) ending as a DLC.
And if I remember correctly back then my comment was ..

Anxious to see what all the fuss is about, but I am not going to rush it. Still, I have to ask this. Would those of you who are unhappy with the ending actually buy another ending, were they to release such as DLC? Not saying I think this will happen, I am just curious.

I tried to stay spoiler-free before playing the game through, but I heard these three endings were in the leaked script as well. What ending are you referring to? Is it simply what we already know from ME2, the Haestrom thing?
Or was this actually in the script, but later scrapped? If you can't be vague, a PM would be nice.

Most people will probably do if its at a reasonable price. I think they will lose a lot more from making some map/weapon/outfit packs than an actual ending that made sense and that doesn't take a dump on the Mass Effect story.

Yes it was about dark energy. I suggest you don't finish this game, I wish there was someone to stop me from finishing it myself since I stayed away from all spoilers.

Sad to think that so many would so willingly pay extra in order to get another ending to the game, but it would come as no surprise. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to the end, for good or ill. Even if it ends up being as bad as I am hearing, it will have to do. No way would I pay more on top of a bad ending in order to get another one. Surely they would not pull that, though.

I'll wait and make my own judgement. Alot of people are complaining though - it does make me wonder how bad it really is.

Mind you if an 'ending pack' adds something worthwile (and it'd have to be real well done!) then I'd probably pay for it.

We'll see.

Wow, I seriously can't believe how bad that was. The writers dropped the ball BIG TIME on this one. I'm serious pissed off about that - this series had built up a lot of steam regarding the final battle, and you ended it with that overwrought, philosophical GARBAGE instead of ending it the LOGICAL way, and pretty much undid everything the trilogy was about up until that point in the process.

I really enjoyed this game at first, but BW screwed the ending up so bad that it's soured the entire experience for me. Not sure where I'm going to go from here - right now, I'm wanting to write the series off completely.

So many missteps in this game. Really shocking that they let it out the door with so many bugs, and so many flawed aspects. I don't think for a second they'll patch in a new ending, but do I think they'll suddenly have a DLC? Yes. 10? 20 dollars? Not sure, but I guarantee you that's how they'll address the concerns of the fanbase. Which will likely make people even angrier. "I wanted a satisfying ending to this, and you're making me spend an extra 10 bucks to get it?!" and the like.

I fully expected what appens in 2/3 endings, but none of them REALLY seemed to make sense... quite a bit of backtracking and negating already established premeses.

Having read about how horrible the ending is, I think I would pay for a DLC that gave you a good/better ending especially as this is supposed to be the last Mass Effect. BUT---BioWare should be so ashamed of themselves that they ought to offer any such DLC for free. (with a big apology as well)

Good or bad, once I get to the end, then that's it for me. I am not paying more for another ending that should have been in the game. However, to each their own, lol.

Forget "negated premises" - it makes all the work you put in over the last two games pointless.

Let me put it this way: it doesn't matter how many sidequests you did, whether you worked to save everyone in ME2's Suicide Mission, how many resources you collected, allies you've made, people you've had to sacrifice...it comes down to the same three choices almost every time. You won't get to find how your choices impacted the galaxy going forwards, especially given the circumstances everyone finds themselves in at the end.
