I JUST finished the game like 5 minutes ago. I loved the game. I'm a little iffy on the ending but the game is still an amazing game. An ending can't take that away.

It most certainly can. Had I known the ending was this ****ty then I wouldn't have bought the game, I can tell you that.

Cry more. I play a game to have fun. I loved the story but like I said the ending was pretty iffy for me. I can live with it though. Apparently most people are just so shocked and shaken up about the endings that its ruining their lives.

A bad ending does NOT make the entire game bad. That is just being childish. Stop being childish people.:wizard:

I invite you to consider that individuals with alternative opinions are not 'childish,' and that your attempts to declare as much are extremely egotistical and, interestingly, show a lack of maturity. For some people, the ending is really important. It's quite alright if you feel otherwise, but it does not mean that your position is the adult one.

Ok, if someone went through the entire game and enjoyed it up until the ending, how the hell can they say that the ENTIRE game is bad? Explain that to me, please.

Because with a bad ending, the journey itself is devalued, there's no payoff, no closure. Even worse when it's the third and final game in a trilogy, and then yet worse when it's an RPG.
The story and the ending is a place where as far as I'm concerned it had to deliver, and it didn't.

You don't have to agree but if you don't even grasp what I'm saying then, well, what can I say. I'm not sure I actually care to be honest.

The game is amazing until the last 5 minutes and that catalyst non sense. Minor flaws and a bad ending cant destroy everything good about a game. Look at deus ex hr, boss battles are simply terrible and out of place with the game. The game is still a 9/10 easy, same for mass effect. The ending sucked but the road there was epic in proportion with the production value better then most games out there. When you review a game you have to give an opinion on every part of the game and everything technical, not just judge the ending of the series. Everything else was well done, and it lost points away from perfect score from alot of reviewer for the issues the game have.

IGN loses any credibility because of Chobot.

For whatever it's worth, in IGN's article talking about Chobot being in the game they put a disclaimer in saying that Chobot's involvement in the game would not sway their opinion when it came time to do the review. Not that they couldn't have been lying.

Maybe it  could be IGN has the same background as the Bioware forums right know.  We likey the advertising money.Image IPB

Because the story and game play until the end are great its at the it all falls apart. They could have gone the 3 routes and the God/AI/Child. There should have been more varying outcome with , Control, Synthesis, Destroy ... endings. All having there own themes that came with them. I can deal with my Shepard sacrificing himself to ensure future for everyone but there no closer.. no good bye. No People looking up wondering what happened when the Crucible fired.

When reviewers played this game, they probably didn’t know how it was going to end. God, that must have been fun!

A considerably more pleasant experience than playing it like I am now, knowing that no matter what I do, I die in the end and everything I’ve played Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 for goes down the toilet and no matter how I play, I can’t affect the outcome, which is tailored to make me feel as miserable as possible.

It’s a hell of game – it has to be to stand up to that – but knowing it’s all for crap sure sours my entire playthrough.

I think Bioware missed an opportunity - Olivia Munn probably would have given some major head to get a spot in the game, and she's way hotter.

Because it's an amazing game.

This. 99% of the game is amazing. Only the ending after Hackett called sucked.

I was fine with everything before kid go... I mean the catalyst came :/
