I'd have to agree. Looking at the leather in the photo makes me wonder if it actually is genuine leather (or at least not the paper-thin crap). Best bet if anyone wanted a quality piece would be to take a quality  jacket, like a ~$200-$300 motorcycle jacket, and have a good leatherworker make alterations. Assuming $20/hr labor and materials, this will likely double the price (optimistically) of the original jacket. This probably won't work for people that "must have" the exact same thing as in the game due to inconsistencies with the core design, but it will make for a better jacket.

I have some mailcontact with southbeachleather, and have requested more detailed pictures, closeups. I agree regarding the leather, it just doesn´t look good on that picture (believe the model have a too big jacket however). The webpage says it "top quality leather" but I have no experience with the company so I don´t know the value of their word. Someone who ever ordered anything from them??

If I bought a leather jacket for $500 to $900 bucks I wouldn't wear it I would probably frame it and place it on my wall to view then listen to my wife plot my murder for spending said money.

I'd rather spend said $900 on a certain Armani leather jacket that just went on sale; at least that would be something that's respectable to wear in public lol. Really when the fascination with ME subsides would you still want a $900 ME jacket?

There's a bit of a gap from 210$ to 900$ in my opinion...

Not sure I would even bother with a jacket to 900$ when there are good looking alternatives for far less. Having a certain overpriced brandname in the collar isn't really my thing. I prefer judging stuff on what it feels/looks like rather than who created it, and value it the same. Armani? Who cares, really... It's just a meaningless word. Unless you intend to flash the nametag at everyone or force it into conversations nobody is going to value what you wear on the brand but on how it looks.

Seriously this.  There's a guy 'round these parts who went and literally got an N7 tatooed on his arm!  That's worse than tatooing the name of some girl you just met and slept with on your arm!  In a week to 10 days it becomes, "what was I thinking?"

A Mass effect tat is iffy, but that's in no way anywhere near as bad as tatooing some random chick's/potential ex's name on your skin.

Hi everybody!
Dunno if anyone still read this thread, but I just got myself the jacket from soutgbeachleather and it arrived in my mailbox today. Okay, the leather is thin.. but not paperthin as some suggested. It is real leather, no faux, the zipper is a good YKK-zipper and overall it is made with really good quality, especially considering the cheap pricetag. Also the measurments are correct. I can totally recommend this jacket if someone else is interested.

As to the poster you're replying to, most people wouldn't know that the N7 means since the average non-gamer would never have heard of Mass Effect.
It's not like wearing Jedi robes around the town.
I've worn a screen-used Farscape jacket (Crais' season three jacket) and nobody paid any attention. It looks like a fancy motorbike jacket

It looks like one of those 'one size fits all' ponchos you see at discount stores.  The chest is obviously fit for someone with a massive beer belly, the red is on both sleeves instead of just the right arm, it's lacking the white stripes, and the length of the sleeves looks 4 inches longer than adequate.

I would feel like this if I put that thing on:

Do you... even know what this leather jacket is modelled after? 
Putting some quality issues aside, the layout, design, and colours of the jacket in the pictures above are exactly as it appears in-game. The mannequin obviously has no arms, and leather jackets in general are designed to be a bit loose, so I don't know where the beer belly comment is coming from.
