You
recall in ME2 your choices mattered, they should in ME3 that is a
given. Besides the terribly bad vibe I got from the beam like I had
with the end of Command and Conquer 4 everything up to 'dieing' at
the beam is fine and I enjoyed it. Things take a turn for the worse
once you arrive at the citadel.

I'd
have liked to see a few different types of endings. It is clear that
the writers wanted the Mass Relays destroyed which could still be
done if they wanted, but the endings are uterly pointless.I'd have
liked to have seen a few different types of endings that actually
meant something based on your ability to build a fleet. For
example:

-
Your score is below x, you die, everyone dies, the cycle is repeated.
 all so very sad.

-
TIM attempts control of the relays because he killed you upon the
second renegade check.  Baicly most of the stuff from the
previous ending can be shown.

-
You kill Tim, your score is still very low, the reapers are stopped
but with considerable losses, all your friends die, you die, but the
galaxy is saved.  Reapers could take out relays as needed.

-
You kill Tim, your score is ok, the reapers are stopped but earth is
lost and some of your allies live.

-You
kill TIM, your score is great, you save the word, your outcome is not
in doubt and all your allies live.

There
could be many ways to work this so much of the ending can be kept.
God can still explain all of this to you if needed although
personally everything past the beam needs to be changed to be better
organized and more detailed upon your choices. The fact that the
“best” ending has the relays being destroyed and the cycle
repeating again isn't what bothers me it is that nothing you really
did made any difference other than you got a score to qualify for it.
