I encountered the Salarian Spectre in the Citadel Embassies section, and a conversation initiated the Hanar Diplomat mission, with Kasumi Goto eventually joining and following. I went from there directly to the terminal on that floor, then to the rest of the terminals in sequence, completing the mission without issue.
However, the mission is still visible and selectable on the Spectre terminal in the Embassies. Selecting it results in the communication from the Salarian Spectre instructing me to meet him outside of the diplomat's office, though he is not actually there and no journal update is provided.
As I have already completed the mission, this issue is a minor bug, but I do wonder if any other player has encountered it.

You may not have activated the "Hanar Embassy Tracking" in the spectre terminal as part of the initial quest, but not sure why that would allow you to continue the mission. At least you were able to complete it.

i have an other issue which fit to the topic. i get the quest form the salarian, i went to the terminal looked at it and didnt enable the tracking and get back to normandy and did some quests. after this. i come back to the terminal, the tracking is enabled and i am not allow to do the quest anymore.... because i cant use the terminal in the other part of the citadel....
