It's nice that eventually he finds a woman to fall in love with, depending on your actions in a Redcliffe sidequest.

I got this on one ending (Eamon stayed in Denerim and Teagan took over Redcliffe) and not on another - do we know what the trigger is for Teagan's love story?

Connor looks more like Teagan than Eamon imo

When I arrived in Redcliffe I got the impression that Isolde and Teagon were a couple. Just the way they act around each other. I was kinda surprised to learn that Isolde was actually married to Eamon and not Teagon. What can I say, I must notta been paying much attention.

I really wanted an option to throw over Alistair for Teagan, lol. There was something about him that I liked, and the mild flirtation just wasn't enough to satisfy my pixel interest.I love Alistair and everything, but it would have been so much fun to have romanceable characters that weren't on the PC's team. I could of had a guy in every village...lol. It would have been great to have some Alistair-Teagan jealousy going on. lol Maybe someone will mod it...

I too got that impression, especially when she approaches him outside the Windmill. I wonder if Conner was not another Bastard child that Eamon sheltered.

Yeah, its kinda hard not to fall a bit for the guy when he tells you that the maker smiled on him when he sent you to redcliffe *sigh*

*siiiiigh*  I got into a bad habit with DAge: falling a little for many, many guys.  I think the final count was five: Alistair, Duncan, Cailan (don't ask), Teagan, and Riordan.  A friend and I were joking that "hawtness" (her word, not mine) must've been a prerequisite for joining the Wardens.    If you think about it, Duncan might've been all dashing and charming as a younger man.  You know... one of those tall-dark-and-handsome types.  With a sword.  Anyway, so sorry, mildly off topic.  *steers train back onto tracks*

Well in The Calling, younger Duncan sneaks out of a big meeting at the Tower of Magi and into the "good graces" of a female apprentice.

Then he got caught by his commander :police:

edit: and furthermore, that scene made me so suspicious of him in the Mage Origin. "I'm watching you, you dirty old man" :P

YES.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who can admit to having a pixel crush on Cailan.  I think it was the voice...  ;)

Anyway, I'm with those who thought that Teagan and Isolde were having an affair behind Arl Eamon's back.  They seemed...very close, a little too close, in that scene near the windmill in Redcliffe.  I actually thought that it was going to factor into the story at some point, but it never did.  I wonder if the chemistry was intentional...?

HAHA!  I was thinking the same thing, LOL.  If you play as a female mage, though, he's very cool and distant towards you.  Guess he learned his lesson, right?

But, didn't that Lothering barkeep also say that Loghain was awesome and an epic hero and the Grey Wardens sucked?!  Oh no...  I think I found a ****** in the armor of the mustache of "truth"!

Hmm, it is subjective and not factual, I'm sure Ser Cauthrien sees it as the truth.

And futhermore:

I don't think we really got a chance to judge his abilities honestly. Sure, one could argue that he could have done a lot more to help the villagers protect Redcliffe - either in the preparation or the actual battle - but it really depends upon how you look at the situation. We don't know how much he did to set up the defenses prior to the player arriving in Redcliffe, and while his staying in the Chantry didn't say much for his leadership abilities I do think it was a wise choice to at least have one competent (though according to himself not great) fighter in the Chantry to protect the villagers should the corpses find a way inside. Though seeing as the corpses lack any brains, no pun intended, chances are you could have thrown Tomas in there to protect them and still achieved the same result.
When it comes to dealing with demons however, he's definitely incompetent.

Wait, how do you get Teagan a girlfriend anyway? I told whatshername from the bar to talk to him about employment as a servant at the castle or somesuch - is that what does it?

In my first playthrough, Teagan found her in the ending slides when I gave her 5 gold after the defense of Redcliffe, she goes to Denerim to open her own brewery.

I thought there was something going on between Isolde and Teagan too (perhaps the writers didn't originally intend that but maybe upon reading this thread they'll go: "omg, what an awesome and sick storyline. I like it!" and factor it in).

Although, even winning the battle for Connor isn't a lasting victory because at the end Eamon remarks that sometimes he catches Connor giving him creepy looks, so maybe there's a future in there somewhere for a deeper storyline!

Throw things at me if you must, but I have a pixel crush on Bann Teagan.  I noticed that you can flirt with him as a female if you can convince him to talk about himself using persuasion.  Is that the only chance you get?  This was a really pleasant surprise for me when I stumbled upon it.

*sigh* I might start a Teagan fangirl group here...I'm 100% with ya on this.  The flirting is so decidedly...erm... "proper" (for lack of a better term), and that makes it adorable.

I didn't get the isolde impression at all...as a matter of fact, i got the impression that Teagan was perpetually annoyed with her, especially after you clear out the castle and are deciding what to do with connor.

In fact, i see brilliant fanfiction potential here...

embarrassing as it is, i actually wrote a poem for the Poet Tree thread...if i could write convincing dialogue i would tackle a fanfic for this, but alas, i seem to lack the aptitude.

After playing through the human noble origin for the gazillionth time, I'm surprised you can't flirt with Ser Gilmore.

You can say what you want, but I'm sure the reason y'all like him, is because of the court jester act he puts on the next time you see him..

bah, that wasn't him, that was a demon.

Seeing that made me want to smite that demon with a hail of righteous blows until it went scurrying back to the Fade-hole it came from. DIE DEMON! NO ONE MESSES WITH MY TEAGAN AND LIVES!

*cough*

We now return to our regularly scheduled thread. Apparently I have partaken of one too many ciders this evening...

Cause Gilmore's a wet blanket, that's why.
Besides flirting with Duncan is more fun.

Yes. Kaitlyn's quest, where you have to find her brother (who's hiding in an armoire in her home) has to be completed in the most generous way. Give her five sovereigns for the sword and she'll eventually move to Denerim and open up a smithy to help in the rebuilding.

Teagan will wander in one day and the next month, they'll be married and live happily ever after.

I liked Bann Teagan. In fact, the part where he says "The Bannorn will not bow to you simply because you demand it!" towards the beginning really impressed me. Arl Eamon's voice actor was pretty good too.

Teagan made that scene, he verbally *****-slapped Loghain twice and Anora once as he was leaving for good measure.
Why this manly sex god isn't recruitable I'll never know. Well. He'd probably steal Alistair's limelight I suppose. But there's room for two, BioWare!
