Yet another Bann Teagan fan here. I just so wish the flirting with him would have lead to something more.

It's hard for me to see him having a thing for Isolde. When he tells her to go ahead it comes off as "Okay Isolde, you go on now and let the grown-ups talk for a bit."

Heh, I wasn't the only one who thought that. I couldn't help but think to myself 'Bimbo, blonde and fre-er, Orlesian. Poor airhead.' I laughed when I had the same idea as yours in my mind.

I don't remember flirting with him in Redcliffe but I may have just forgotten. I was already pretty goggle-eyed about Alistair by that point, bless him. He's an interesting character, though I did get the sense that there was something odd about his conversation with Isolde - partly I just felt she was hiding something (and lo and behold, she was.) I suspect maybe she tells him things she's afraid to tell Arl Eamon, and he feels awkward about it because it's his brother.



His breakdancing was hi-larious though.

Interesting note - on games where I flirted with him he doesn't hook -up with Kaitlyn despite my giving her gold I can't afford at that stage of the game, and when I don't flirt with him he does... Is it a coincidence or is he pining for the PC?

I've never gotten the ending where is says he marries Kaitlyn in any of my playthroughs and I have given her money on some and not on others and flirted with him...well every time but the first time when I didn't catch that I could do it.  So I am curious whether my flirting also had something to do with not getting that ending or exactly what you need to have happened to have the ending say that.

I so would have married my main character to Teagan if it would've been possible hehe. But have to settle for Alistair I guess, at least he is the son of a king.

I think it's might has to paid full 500 silver to her as buy her grandfather's Sword, Green Sword, to make this ending happan, I yet not done that's end of story, but I did paid 500 silver to her for Green Sword after battle of Undead attacking the village. So I think 500 silver is only make ending happan, but I could be wrong. I don't  know, but those was my though.

Oh, I'm sooo glad it's not just me. I adore Teagan. I was meta-gaming pretty hardcore before I even got the game, but I was just finding stuff about gameplay and the party characters. I never saw anything about Teagan. Then, when I met him, I was so angry. Sure, Bioware gave us two awesome male romances (I do like both Alistair and Zevran) but Teagan somehow blows them both out of the water in the maybe 10 minutes you can spend conversing with him! It's like they're teasing us.



I really hope he's a romance in DA 2. He's wonderful. And I think he'd also be the next Arl of Redcliffe, since Connor's either dead or shipped off to the Circle. . . . The power would make him more attractive.

In my first playthrough, Teagan found her in the ending slides when I gave her 5 gold after the defense of Redcliffe, she goes to Denerim to open her own brewery.

With 5 gold?  She must be an amazing investor.

And here I just paid 135 gold for an Axe, and this woman  buys her own Brewery for 5 sovereigns.

I flirted with him slightly with my female mage, and did the 500 silvers thing for Kaitlyn and got the romance ending for him. This playthrough, with a female human noble, I flirted again (it's just so fun!) and at the windmill after the village is saved, he says something along the lines of "The Maker smiled on me when he sent you here" -- which he says all the time -- but there were a couple of other lines added as well: "You're beautiful as well as brave...if only things were different..."

So that leads me to believe that poor Teagan is going to be pining over me at the end. We shall see...!

Wow, such minute things seem to affect the game!  I've finished 2 playthroughs: 1 as a male Dalish elf where he returned the sword to Kaitlyn but didn't give her any money, and one as a female Dalish elf (what can I say, I'm hooked on the Dalish!) where she flirted with him unwittingly--she really just wanted to know if his family was in Redcliffe or somewhere safer--and gave Kaitlyn the 5 sovereigns.  The first time I got the Bevin growing up to be an adventurer ending, but the second time I did not get the Teagan marries Kaitlyn ending.  I can't remember what he said at the windmill, though. 

I also have a female mage playthrough in progress where she flirted with him (deliberately), and he did say the "brave as well as beautiful" line at the windmill.  I haven't finished the playthrough yet, but I unfortunately won't be able to compare whether he hooks up with Kaitlyn at the end with what I did with my female elf since I returned the sword on this playthrough.

I'm wondering what exactly affects whether you get this epilogue text?  Is it how you react to his flirting?  There are several choices you get after he apologizes for flirting; some are noncommittal and some clearly imply that you were fine with it and wanted it to go farther.  Or is it how you react to his plan to accompany Isolde into the castle?
I don't remember what my female elf said about it; my female mage disagreed with it but then said she'd try to save everyone possible, which is what I thought triggered the "brave as well as beautiful" speech.  Or maybe the two don't have anything to do with the epilogue, who knows?

This isn't the only instance where I've noticed that random, minor dialogue choices seem to have an effect on the game ending epilogues.

Between my own and my husband's family, I have 9 brothers-in-law. I would NEVER approach any of them like she approached him, not even the ones I'm actually close to. Be relieved as hell to see one or two or three of them, but to fawn all over them? ...Um, No.
