I'd sacrifice my integrity and current outrage and mistrust of BioWare for one. Honestly, after my NG+, I'm shelving the game until that happens, if ever.

I can't imagine buying any DLC otherwise.

The simple answer is no. I already paid 60 bucks for the game. Their charging extra to be good at multiplayer and in addition their tricking you into paying for a better ending?

seriously people need to consider how their being robbed. Not just with money but by wasting your time.

Though we shouldn't have to, I would also pay for a new ending.

I'm going to re-post this basic idea in a few other topic headers, but here's the run-down Bioware:

90 hours of my time + about $200 of my hard earned money = a standard heroic sacrifice ending with less side character info than Fallout 3...

You had me until the last fight....

...now I doubt I'll buy a new release from you again.

Period.

No. This is patch worthy. Not "Pay us money and we might give you a better ending" worthy.

I already paid 80 bucks. I'm not paying more just so I can get a semi-decent ending.

If they patch this with good endings, then I'll purchase whatever DLC they give us. Until then, I'm not giving either Bioware or EA another cent. :\\

If they put out DLC that rewrote the last part of ME3. Which at least had an option of a happy fly off in the sunset option I would plunk down at least $10 for that DLC. This probably one of my beloved series and I would like to see it end right.

As it stands now I can't imagine myself buyin DLC unless their is a better ending.

Depends on the content.

If it were just literally a new ending. Replay the last 5 minutes of the game & get a new cutscene, no. I wouldn't pay for that. I would watch it on youtube. I seriously doubt they'd do this, anyway.

If it were a real DLC set soon after the ending. Say you control one of the Normandy crew members, can see everyone's reaction, use the QED to talk to earth. Or, similarly, play a recently recovered Shepard on Earth. Then yes, I'd pay for that.

I am on the fence. I want to say yes, because I very much want to see a better culmination of all our choices made in the span of three games and five years in that one ending.
At the same time, why are you going to make me pay for an ending that really should have been in the game already?
So glad I play on PC..xD

No. The ending they gave us was so different from what I wanted that I've decided that the best expression of defiance I can give them is to write my own personal ending. It's still based within the confines of the choice that the Catalyst gives Shepard, but the outcomes are tweaked somewhat. It's already over 20 pages long and one that I feel does justice to the series. It would certainly outperform any DLC they release, as this is tailored to be the ending that I think the series truly deserves.

Would I pay? I'd be willing to. In fact, I'd be happy if they republished the ENTIRE game and went with the original Mass Effect Universe ending. I would rebuy my two collectors editions (one physical and one digital).

However, the endings are so atrocious, random, and absolutely absurd that Bioware owes it to their fans to own up to this mistake and make it up to the fans who have been loyal fans since before the first game even came out.

Please Bioware. Give us back the original ending.

EDIT: I don't care how you do it, please get the original writers back and fix this. If you hadn't resorted to this last minute abrupt change, you would have "had your name written in the stars." Instead, any fan who knows anything about the series cannot in good faith support this new direction.
Please. Please. Please.
We beg you.

I would consider it. For now, I'm just focusing really hard on thinking that the existing ending is a hallucination before the real ending, or before Shepard dies. Either is better than what we got.

I'd consider buying it if the majority of others liked it. And it will be the last thing I buy from Bioware.

While I agree with other posters, patch in better endings (Fallout 3 did it!), i'd pay for a DLC that rewrites everything after Shepard and Illusive man have their discussion. I just want a ending that better reflects my choices, like getting the geth and the quarians to play nice, or hooking up my starship and my pilot

Buy? Buy?

Oh, screw that. Screw that right in its nickel-and-dime poop chute. I bought each and every ME game brand spanking new, and all the DLC to boot. Even those stupid clothing DLC's for ME2 (I had MSP to spare at the time). And ME merch. I figure at this point they owe me, and if EA can't be arsed to stop jerkin the gerkin over their giant pile of money, and let BW out of the gimp-box, long enough to spot me the ending I freakin' deserve as a long time, loyal and die-hard Mass Effect fan as free DLC, I'm done with EA.

This is the ONLY DLC I would buy. I don't want to play this game anymore, Multiplayer or Single player, if I know it ends the way it does.

I also agree with a patch for a better versions of the endings. This should be free.

If they did do this they would win a good deal of their fans back.

If they kept the Normandy in the Sol system, explained why suddenly all your crew is ON the Normandy, allowed you to live in some form and hook back up with your LI if you get tons of EMS no matter which color ending you choose, and finally gave us the exposition they should have in the first place about the consequesnces to the galaxy each ending would represent.  And I wouldn't buy it til someone confirmed all that was there.  And I stil think the Paragon option would be destroying all Reaper Tech (Citadel, Relays and Reapers) not the Geth or Edi and the Renegade is controlling, becoming some kind of AI God and keep using the Reaper Tech.  I like the green ending just fine I just want the option to live in each of them and meet up with my LI.

If they did all that then I'd buy it.

Personally I think all that should be a patch though.  If I have to buy it it means Im not buying any new games til after they come out and I read reviews (from actual players not paid off gaming news sites).  If they patch it with something good then my faith will be restored.  I'll go back to SWTOR and come back to the Bioware fan fold.

I would totally buy a DLC with a more bright ending and epilogue. I really hope demand is such that Bioware makes one.

Yes! Gawd YES!

And I absolutely DESPISE the idea DLC. That should tell you something.

Hey. A thought just occurred to me. What if that was Bioware's plan all to make sure that their next few DLC's sold well.

But they better have more in there. Like a bunch of "we're sorry" little things.

Spectre_Shepard wrote...

So here's the thing: it took me 40 hours to beat ME3. For the first 39 hours and 50 minutes, it was the greatest game I had ever played. Bar none. And that's saying something, as I only bother playing a game if I think it has real value, and Bioware games always do. But the last 10 minutes left me hollow. I was there at the beginning with ME1, and this was a moment I had been waiting for four years to come. Literally. And, unbelievably, Bioware missed.

So: if Bioware was to come out with a new DLC that assuages the bitterness of this conclusion (which I honestly think is unlikely), would you be willing to pay for it? How much would you pay? I, for one, truly don't want to pay a cent for something that by rights should have come in the complete package to begin with, BUT I am far too invested at this point not to pass it up and likely would pay through the nose for some closure. Thoughts?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm going through my second playthrough right now and really, that ending was something else... I mean.. yeah.. on "Destruction" Shepard lives, you see him breath under the rubble.. Synthesis.. you're.. decoded and your body dissapears? Then control... the hell... What's that? I become some sort of what Legion did? dafuq...

If there was any DLC that would change the last 10 minutes of the game.. I'd buy it..

I gotta say though, the only two things i didn't like are..

Synthesis: Your body is gone. End of story. Plus, the relays are gone.

Destruction: Even the geth? EDI? No thanks, i didn't go all through Rannoch to save both races and even end their war to end up destroying the geth.. the hell is wrong with you bioware? you introduced Legion and the definition of heretics and this is the outcome? Plus, relays are gone too.

I guess this is the best ending if only the reapers were destroyed. Not the geth, not EDI, not the relays.

Control
: It shouldn't even be an option. This whole story was about destroying the reapers.
