Absolutely. I don't regret the $60 I paid for this game because up until the last five minutes, it was probably the best game I've ever played. But for a better ending? Hell yes, I'll give up my morning lattes for two days to have a fulfilling ending.

I hate to admit it, but yes. I chose the Destruction ending just for the hope of there being some DLC to rescue your squad or something, ANYTHING would be better than what we get.

"Base indeed is the slave who pays the master." No way in hell I'd pay for a decent ending, even if it was hand carried to my by Milla Jovovich and Olivia Wilde. And they offered to snuggle with me while I played it. A variety of endings, some of them, oh, shall we say, not appalling and wretched, should have come with the game. They do a decent set of endings and we pay for it, that'll just encourage them to pull this sort of crap in the future. Fix what they screwed up, make it available for free, and if they do a quality job then I'll buy future DLC from them. But I'm not paying more just to beg them to get it right this time.

If they gave me a happy ending with my Shepard being with my love interest then I would happily buy it.( In all likelihood I would buy any other ME3 DLC as well since the replay value would actually be there with a happy ending for me)

I've thought about it, and yes I would pay. Do you hear me Bioware? I would pay, because that's how much it's worth it to end this series on the right note. I've invested enough and care enough about the series to pay for your time in correcting this. Add some choices to the choices already available. Many, including myself, have put forth ideas. I don't think you made an ending this bad on purpose. Just please reconsider and work this out with us your fans and customers. Thanks.

Yes I would pay. I would pay for them fixing the ending by buying the DLC that was already planned that I will not be buying now because the ending has made those things pointless. But I wouldn't give one red cent to buy a DLC that only included a fix to the games ending. Once they figure out people will pay extra for the good endings, it will become standard practice to always make that DLC for future releases.

Hell, I'd fund the project myself.

Mass Effect 3 is a near-perfect dream. I'd love to see it live on the way it deserves to.

I would watch it on youtube and nothing else. Why should I pay for a "real" ending when it should have been included in the game anyway?

No. Sorry, but if they force us to pay for them to correct their ending, it smacks of unethical business practice, because it implies that they intentionally crippled the ending with the Guardian scene in order to milk us for money later.

Sorry, I cannot support that kind of behavior from a company. I payed for the story, and you're not going to get me to pay to fix something you intentionally broke. That's fraud, near as I can tell.

I'll never pre-order another Bioware game, never buy DLC, or another EA game. I may purchase DLC if it adds content and fixes things, but honestly after DA2 and the ending of ME3 I'm pretty much done. I put so much time into these games, and then to have them ruined. Actually they are ruining gaming in general for me. I really don't want to become so invensted in anything like this ever again.
And no, it has nothing to do with Shepard dying, not dying, or not getting the "best' ending......I don't trust that Bioware is the same company I grew to love.......I no longer trust Bioware.....

Oh yes I would def pay. The reason being is because through out the whole game - scrath that - the whole SERIES, there is a great relationship forming between Shepard and his LI. (If you chose one of the characters from ME1). We start to become attached to the relationship and want more of it. But when the end of the game rolls around you get one last moment with them, it's great. (I personally was with Liara the entire ME series besides ME2 of course, so the ME3 Liara relationship was fantastic) But in the end when you have the choice to control the reapers and die, or kill all synthetics....and still die..... you don't get to spend time with that LI during the peaceful time, and it literally leaves a whole in you beacause that is one thing you wanted so bad through out the entire series because you have grown with it. This is my sole reason why I would buy DLC :P. I don't really care about the discontinuity about certian aspects of the end game stuff (like when you save the geth but just end up destroying them or controlling them anyways, or the fact that if you chose to control the reapers, fighting Cerberus instead of working with them was literally a complete waste of time.)

Edit: I also forgot to add that this feels like a low blow to not give us any satisfaction for the hard work Shepard fought for. Such as living in the peacetime with his LI, sipping pina coladas on the beach. Plus I'd love to see Liara in a bikini. But besides all this negativity, I gotta thank Bioware for making fantastic games, because this is my favorite series of games of all time. I am emotionall attached to these characters and I like that. So hats off to you, Bioware, and keep up the good work.

You all realize that somewhere in Redwood City, in a dark office some executive is tenting his fingers together, orgasmically saying "excellent...excccccccellent."

As near as I can tell, they are happy with the endings, they are what they wanted it to be.

You know what...

If building three mindblowing games with a crappy ending is a devious plan all to make sure they can sell us a $10 "proper ending," then to that I say "Shut up and take my money."

I disagree with buying DLC for the sake of the ending because this is what the precedent is- Origin's fine in my books but paying for an ending after spending the money to buy the game retail? If they did force us to pay for DLC, then they can rest assured Dragon Age 3 will be my last game. I've loved Bioware for a long time and their rpgs are the only games I've loved and if they treat me right, I will continue to buy their games- but I pay for a character's journey, shaping my own fate. It shouldn't be something I pay more for when their endings are the cheapest part of the game, aside from the graphics more suited to some game ten years ago.
