Shale is broken.   After having a successful 1st time run throug the game and completing Shale's personal questline and finding her families Thaig, my second play through has resulted in her being broken.

Whenever I speak to her now she bugs out.  The screen goes blank and there are 2 conversation options available for her.  Speak the word to activate her(Dulef Gar I think...)  or Leave her alone.  The quest to activate her to begin with has already been completed and I take her along in my party many times.

In either chosen case, nothing happens and my character is thrown from the area beyond the borders of the current environment.  Sometime I can get back to the main party but 95% of the time I am unable to walk back to the group due to unvisible borders, cliffs, or other obstacles.

In all cases I am unable to advance her story line now with this 2nd campaign I have started.

Is there a fix for this?

This happened to me with all characters (they'd play the convo from when I first met them on a black screen) when I tried to use mods from the 1st Popular Projects page - right now the Toolset is horribly bugged (at least concerning scripting), I would recommend uninstalling/not using mods until it gets sorted out.



If you don't have any mods, sorry, don't know what to tell you.

I had that happen to me when my internet connection was acting up on me disconnecting and reconnecting itself at random intervals.

Enough said it reset both my Warden's Keep and Stone Prisoner so I had option of doing them again (and lost all the items I got in them) but Shale was still a party member, could still use her but talking to her resulted in the same first dialogue you get in Honnleath.
