Hello.
I was playing ME1 that I bought through steam, and i got a BSOD. I had had these a couple times, so I restarted and figured nothing of it, but when I did, i found a lot of data I had was lost, including all of my achievements. As well, when I hit the "switch careers" option to see my careers, none were present. However, not all of my data was gone: my saves were still there, but misordered. Lastly, my game settings, save my resolution and texture quality, were reverted (no target assistance turned to normal, etc.).
Then it gets slightly more difficult: i reset some of my settings, start playing again, and then I get ANOTHER BSOD. Then, when I load the main menu (after the "press any key" part), the game shows the "Saving Game" message. After that, my settings are reverted AGAIN and I still have nothing.
In my C:/Documents/BioWare/Mass Effect/Saves folder, ten files are present: my nine saves (one auto, one quick and one normal for each character) and a tenth file, which is something to do with profiles.
I spent 88 hours getting all those achievements: I had them all except for the "beat the game on insanity", which I was just about to get. Does anyone know if my achievements are redeemable, or a way to stop the BSODs?
