In the beginning in the hospital I told Ashley I wanted a relationship and shes really the one I want to be with. But I heard that Miranda dies if you break it off with her in the beginning. So i said nothings changed. Did that completely block me off from Ashley, I know it didnt totally lock me in with Miranda because after the coup i had the chance to romance Liara but I said just were just friends.

But the problem is Ashely won't talk to me. We had the short convo going back to the Normandy after the coup, but now on the ship she won't have the conversations with me. I've tried waiting till after side missions, and I did main missions,  I just got Legion from the Geth ship, but she still wont talk to me. Does anybody know if she'll talk to me later or did I ruin things from the beginning?

I'm in the same spot. I even talked to her during her hospital stays

Yeah, I talked to her in the hospital a couple of times too. I'm just gonna assume I ruined it with her because I don't want to keep doing a bunch of main quests if there not going to make her talk to me.

Ashley just apparently doesn't talk at all in the game. She's still your LI, she just only has real conversations with you twice after the hospital part pretty much. I almost switched to Liara (and should have) since she was actually realized as a character.

Ash is a pretty bad LI until the end, but you might have ruined it with the conversion in the hospital.

so to clarify you can't romance Ashley after you've encountered Miranda in the apartments?

I think you just need to not sleep with Miranda at the apartment because that gives you the paramour achievement, which locks the romance.

That is why Liara and Tali are so popular.

Just finished testing it, as long as you don't sleep with Miranda at the apartment your good. Lets her down with her actually knowing lol, good way to avoid the tears from the 1st convo.
