2. Letting TIM try to take control of The Reapers
Probably nothing happens with either, but I figured worth a shot, and I can't try again til later.

It happened to me personally, so it's not just a rumour.

If you take too long making a choice at the end, you get "Crucible is destroyed. Critical Mission Failure".

As soon as Anderson dies and Shepard looks content looking out into space -- TURN THE GAME OFF. That's the only fix right now.
That actually sound like the best idea ever. I'm going to do that.

happened to me. was walking up to the paragon blue path and thought "no, controling the repears? that evil, not a good ending."Phydeaux314 wrote...
Heard a rumor that if you take too long with the final choice, it gives you a critical mission failure with a note about the crucible being destroyed. Untested.
on my way back down it said i died, but it just reloads the start of the platform......

1.) I'm fairly certain, unless they're exaggerating, some people just left it there and/or shut it off at that point

I'm highly considering doing #1. It's so uncharacterstic of me to leave a piece of a game unfinished when I play again, but in this case, I can quite literally point to where my feelings went from, "This is fantastic!" to "This is awful."
The other option is to follow through and then just pretend that things worked out. By giving us such a lousy ending the devs apparently get to pretend like it was good enough for the end of such an epic series, so I feel like I'm entitled to pretend like it didn't happen.
