1. Abstaining from making a choice at the end, or seeing if anything happens if you just refuse to go toward the platforms
2. Letting TIM try to take control of The Reapers

Probably nothing happens with either, but I figured worth a shot, and I can't try again til later.

1.) I'm fairly certain, unless they're exaggerating, some people just left it there and/or shut it off at that point :P

2.) TIM shot me and I got a critical mission failure when I delayed my interrupt.

I waited there for like 30 minutes, even walked back to where the elevator rose up.

Nothing happened though.

Heard a rumor that if you take too long with the final choice, it gives you a critical mission failure with a note about the crucible being destroyed. Untested.

If you take too long making a choice at the end, you get "Crucible is destroyed. Critical Mission Failure".

It happened to me personally, so it's not just a rumour.

As soon as Anderson dies and Shepard looks content looking out into space -- TURN THE GAME OFF. That's the only fix right now.

That actually sound like the best idea ever. I'm going to do that.

No, I have no idea how. Especially because I play on Xbox.

I'm highly considering doing #1.  It's so uncharacterstic of me to leave a piece of a game unfinished when I play again, but in this case, I can quite literally point to where my feelings went from, "This is fantastic!" to "This is awful."

The other option is to follow through and then just pretend that things worked out.  By giving us such a lousy ending the devs apparently get to pretend like it was good enough for the end of such an epic series, so I feel like I'm entitled to pretend like it didn't happen.
