it is telling me to get the new patch and i just updated to 1.02  and can jump into some games and it is only games i am invited to i cant join just worndering if anyone else has had this and what is up with it

I just want to confirm some information: are you saying that PSN users (with patch 1.02 installed) aren't able to connect with disc-based users (also with patch 1.02 installed)? I just want to confirm that both parties have patch 1.02 installed, and that one party isn't missing it.

Ok, thanks. We're investigating...

I believe only North America is getting patch 1.02. That patch will bring all users up to the same patch level (despite the number mismatch), and you should be able to play across regions.
