it is telling me to get the new patch and i just updated to 1.02  and can jump into some games and it is only games i am invited to i cant join just worndering if anyone else has had this and what is up with it

Are the private games you are trying to join within your region? As in all from the EU?

There seems to be an issue where you can't play cross-region.

no tried it private and public and we are all in the u.s. mine is a downloaded copy from psn while the others are disc but there has not been a problem with that till today

Having the same issue with a friend who has the disc-version of the game. I got mine from PSN, and it patched to 1.02, but it doesn't seem to be patching for him.

I am having this same issue on ps3. I cannot play with my friend because he does not have the same version. Could this have anything to do with i have a digital version and he has a disc version? Also i have updated to version 1.02. He is unable to do so. It only prompts him for 1.01. Even if he exits the game and restarts. Any suggestions?

I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the patch releases for the disc-version to be able to play with him again, given it was possible before that.

It would seem so. I did not try before this. Didnt realize there was a delay for patches bewteen digital and disc versions.

I have been trying to find any kinda patchnotes to see what that update did, but I can't find any, anywhere. See these problems with only the PSN version, I am guessing it patched a problem with only the PSN one, and didn't think it would have any problems connecting to the Disk-based games >.>

I work at a games retailer (Not mentioning names) and I remember a time when I could point to Bioware as the pinnacle of game creations, but with their releases in the last couple of years (since EA took over), I just don't think I can say that any longer. Very sad.

i have nothing wrong with bioware or their games i love them and all that noise and i am understanding to there being problems because this is the first time they have done full game lunch for both download and disc and this small thing will not stop me from play their games i just wish they fix it soon or would tell us whats up

i really hope someone from bioware posts something soon about this compatability issue. Kind of annoying that i cant play with friends just because they downloaded and I own the disc.

Yeah, not just between digital and disc, but also between different regions. It's ever so frustrating, cause all my friends have a different version and I now can't play with any of them.

Where you at Bioware? We'd like to continue fighting the Reaper threat with our friends but a patch update is keeping us from that. Hopefully you already know this and are working to get the patch to the disc based users fast and furious.

DLC doesnt change your version of the game. I hadnt installed the DLC yet when trying to join my friend who had the downloaded version. I checked my version to his and then installed the DLC to see if it might change it but its still 1.01.

thanks for the heads up i was just talking about the file they are one in the a a data file so i at least know a disc user tried now a downloaded gamer have you tried i cant right now

dont think anyone who has downloaded the game would want to have to delete and re-install the game as this is the only way to get rid of the 1.02 patch.
