Yeah im in the same boat. two of my friends have the digital copy they got the update and i have the disc-collector's edition

i just want someone from bioware to say that they are aware of this and are working on it. Having nothing officially being stated over 2 days of this has me worried.

Yeah same here. Just say your aware and working on it or that it's intended or whatever. Leaving it in limbo isn't useful.

yeah during mine they were not much help just said reinstall it and wait for a moderator been waiting and nothing if anyone who read this knows how to get their attention that might get us some answers but don't be mean about it gets you nowhere fast

I just want to confirm some information: are you saying that PSN users (with patch 1.02 installed) aren't able to connect with disc-based users (also with patch 1.02 installed)? I just want to confirm that both parties have patch 1.02 installed, and that one party isn't missing it.

no, disc users, at least i do, have 1.01 still. Tried finding a way to make it patch itself but cant find it. PSN downloads are at 1.02.

I also just purchased the game today and when it auto patched at the beginning of game it just did the 1.01.

Disc-basesd users don't have 1.02 yet.

that is correct Tardis. So as of right now Disc owners can only play with other Disc owners and Downloaders can only play with Downloaders in MP.

That is not completely true, I have the download version and have been playing with a disc user today.  He lives in germany though...

what version of the game do you have Last? 1.01 or 1.02?

1.02 and the guy claimed to be using the disc. I believe him but I guess it is possible he could be lying...

Also look into not being able to play across region eventhough both are on the same version patch 1.01 and in that case both of use are using the disc.

Or simply say the servers are regionlocked, that would answer everything in that case..

But good to hear digital versus disc is looked into.

thank you guys for pointing out multiple problems and hopefully it all get fixed soon i would love to play with the bunch of you that have helped me to fix this problem and hope the others get fixed in the process

Hopefully this is fixed soon so I can play with my friends as most of them are digital download owners.

EU and US disc owners can't join up with each other on MP either. I talked to EA customer support and they said psn was at fault. They also said there was a patch coming to fix everything, but did know when it would be released because psn would be the ones releasing it. I for one am going to call psn and at least register a complaint so maybe the process will speed up. I urge everyone to do the same.

I am having issues too... I bought this game out of excitement for the multiplayer. (obviously the SP as well) 
I haven't been able to play with anyone in my community, becuase of this error.
