So I'm in the final battle, the problem is that during the part with the missiles, where you have to defend them, dodge th reaper beam, and fight, oh I dunno, and endless wave of countless banshees? On normal. I'm wiping over and over again, cant even get back to the damn beam to activate it because I'm too busy rezzing my allies and trying to survive. I get overwhelmed every time. How is this normal difficulty? How am I supposed to do this? Accomplishing this feat on Insanity is going to be nigh impossible.

My waves were unlimited until I activated the missiles. I killed at least 7 banshees before running out of 'ammo'.

It ends as soon as the console appears. Find a way to get out of cross fire and activate it which enters a cut scene.

It took me, maybe three or so times on Hardcore to activate the missiles.

Honestly, I managed to skirt around the Banshees and Marauders by running from the building I was holed up in and taking a detour. Instead of heading straight for the the controls I went around and detoured away from them. This took me further from the missles but I was out of the line of fire mostly. Then I ran like all hell. They were all concentrated in and around the building so it was just a matter of going away and around them.

Sadly the best way to beat it is just to sprint to the console, which makes everything go poof.

Infinite spawns should never exist in any game :/

I just did it on Insanity with an Adept. Had to kill about 5 Banshees (luckily, the Reaper's red beam took out 3-4 others that spawned...). It was tough. Every single death was to Banshees insta-kill.

Even when it makes sense, such as every reaper in the galaxy trying to stop you from reaching the console?

I guess they could just set the ticker at 10,000 banshees, but same difference.

Lol I was having a heck of a time with this in Hardcore. I was thinking that there is no way this is possible...SO MANY BANSHEES!!! Then I made a mad dash to the console and it ended my nightmare.

Had to kill about 5 Banshees too, as soon as the button comes available sprint to it through the bunch of Banshees and click. Make sure you save your missile launcher in the adjacent house for Harvester, takes it down in single shot.

Same thing works when you need to get to the shuttle through the swarm of Cannibals. Dont waste your nuke on the first Banshee, instead take her down conventionally. When they yell you to get to the shuttle and that they cover you pick up the nuke, blow all the Cannibals between you and shuttle with single blast and sprint to the shuttle.

Ha I think I did the exact opposite. Used the missile launcher on the first banshee. Ran around kiting the other one and killing it eventually. The brutes were tough, they took down Liara and Garrus easily. Kiting did its magic again. Harvester was easy, just let rip with the ol' Black Widow, Carnage, Warp etc.

Only had 2 Banshees rock up in the last wave, took one down, then sent Liara and Garrus to distract the other one while I headshotted Marauders. Black Widow again doing its thing, 2-shotting ftw. Finally when the button popped, Adrenalin Rush and sprint.

Same with the shuttle extract, nuked the banshee. Had squad cryo on to CC the cannibals, ran right down the middle for extraction.

Soldier insanity. All I'm saying is that there always multiple paths to finish combat.

I had squad cryo too but somehow always got killed trying to get to the shuttle, the nuke provided nice easy solution, killing one Banshee with Mattock was pretty fast with the help of Liara's Warp and Vega's Carnage.

I found Vega to be much more helpful then Garrus in London. I had him specced on max defense with Revenant and he didnt go down once during entire London campaign, nice bonus to all squad mates shields and Carnage made all the difference in tight spots with Brutes and Banshees.
Marauders were easy, Liara dropped Stasis and I just mowed them down with Mattock, didnt need any shield removal.

On hardcore I had about 8 brutes, a harvester and 3 or 4 banshees. As soon as that console activated I just legged it rather than continuing trying to kill everything. That fight was absolutely crazy.

Fighting Brutes is like bullfighting, you need to sidestep their attacks, if they corner you then you are screwed.

XD it was one hell of a fight and being the last fight in the game, it is as it should be. It is doable on insanity for sure, many have done it.

Depending on your class and squad, you may have to do it differently.

Yeah, I have never felt this mix of thrill, desperation and accomplishment in this fight in any other game. Much of London campaign was like Saving Private Ryan or something, very well done.

I got four banshees at least on Normal, I was getting my ass kicked at that part. Finally I managed to punch a hole through them and get to the missle when EDI said it was able to fire. I figured they would just keep coming so I didn't bother trying to clear them all.

Loved this part, was like "OHHHHHH S***! I'm in trouble now!", but Incendiary Ammo helped me with the Brutes :P

Just run around in a circle on the outside of the area. You have four spots with tons of cover. There is medi-gel in four spots and if you have the upgrade from Chakwas that is 8 full heals, plus whatever you have. It is a timed thing, so you should be more than okay. If you kill stuff it just respawns, so I just kite the Banshees around and kill the Brutes/Marauders. I never had to use a medi-gel except when I made a dash to the missile launch.
