Absolutely. In stark contrast to my renegade female with Kaidanmance, next I'll be doing my paragon male with Talimance. :wizard: Planning to start it up in a couple days or so.

Talimance is done so well in this game, just to give you a heads up.

I have five Shepards: a Paragon who saved Council/destroyed Collector base, a Paragon who saved council/saved base, a Renegade who saved council/destroyed base, a Renegade who destroyed Council/saved Base, and a Renegade who killed and destroyed anything that twitched. Or had the potential to hold something that twitched.

Knowing that both my pure Paragon and pure Renegade will have the exact same choices, assuming I have high enough war assets and galactic readiness, is more than a little discouraging. I'll play through again just to be the Renegade jerk so I can hear the lines... but obviously not for all of my Shepards. Like Anderson said at the end, I'll have to choose wisely.

Didn't expect he was referring to my next playthrough. How meta.

I will either do one of two things:

1.I will replay ME1 and ME2 and never touch ME3 again. Unless there is a patch or DLC that redoes the ending (which has almost a 0% chance of happening).
2. I will play all three games but on ME 3 I just will never finish it again and stop before the final mission. Allowing my imagination to make up a satisfying ending.
-An example of this is my current run of ME3 resulted in Shepard hitting the crucible switch and killed the reapers. As the Citadel started to blow up Shepard got surge of adrenalin and dragged him and Anderson back to the portal just in time. Then a flash forward scene with my Shepard and Liara on the remote world they were talking about and watching the sunset as their children ran around the yard.

I myself have 3 shepards that I was really looking forward to experiencing ME3 with. Since I had believed that each ending to ME3 would be wildly (or at least substantially) different and unique based on your choices over the course of the series, I had expected the replay value for ME3 to be through the roof. Now, having just completed my "canon" Shepard's journey, its going to be a LONG while before I'm able to boot up any of my other saves.

I just can't play through again, knowing what lies at the end. Which is a tragedy, because the journey there, the other 99.5% of the game, was so incredible.

What about you guys? Any brave souls diving right back in, knowing what lies ahead?

hell after hearing and reading how bad the ending is I cant even finish my first playthrough. I knew I would not get the ending I wanted but I hoped it would be something close at least or a chance at it anyway but it looks like no one got the ending they wanted and that is realy bad and im shocked that this came out of BW:crying:.

What happend guys what went wrong. did you not look at any of the fan posts before makeing this ending:(.

NO. the only difference would be the romance theme for me, since no other choices seem to make an impact

ill probably wait out a month or two to see if BW makes an announcement regarding the endings..

if no new alternate endings are promised, ill probably do just do a femshep playthrough and stop when i get zapped by harbinger and then fill in my own ending.

been 24 hrs since i beat ME3 and im still shocked/depressed/angry at the conclusion of the trilogy

I didn't recruit Tali in my last playthrough due to never recruiting her in that ME2 save, so I'll really be looking forward to all the Tali stuff I missed out on last time. ^_^ (I purposefully play with the different variables on who lives and dies to get a unique experience each new time I play.)

One thing to consider is that, by and large, ME3 playthroughs aren't that different with the same character, but they're pretty divergent with DIFFERENT characters. So if you're talking about "ME1->ME2->ME3" you have a ton of options... but ME3 really is a continuation of the consequences of the choices you made in the first two games.

Personally, I really like that - it helps tie things up instead of opening more questions - but I can see how the replay value depends on redoing ME2 and ME1 instead of just ME3.

I've finished my first playthrough and I've got 15 more Sheps to go through and I'm taking them all through and even then I might look at making another one that I'll define as my 'perfect' shepard.

It's great to see all the possible variables within the story.

I'm giving it a few days, but then yes, I will be going through and playing it again. I may not FINISH, but I will replay it, catch the things I missed, refine my answers, better integrate my character into the the story.

Had the ending been what was promised instead of what we received, I probably wouldn't stop replaying until April. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I have about 730 hours of playtime logged in the Mass Effect series so far, and aside from the ending, ME3 is the best one of the series.

That is what kills me most. Besides the ending I think the rest of the story is amazingly written. Had the crucible just been your average save the galaxy gun with Shep's fate based on the playthrough I think people would have been happier. Say if you really screw up everyone dies Reapers win, high paragon you use the crucible survive, low paragon use crucible die, high renegade sacrifice some forces and survive, etc. Not ground breaking ending but more satisfying IMO.

I might play again to see the other romances play out but depending how I feel as I start playing following imports I might just watch on youtube.

yes I agree that the things you did in 1 and 2 make a differance up untill the end and then you have no choice but to kick the bucket and even if you live the cost is so high and you end up stranded and alone how is this a happy or worth while ending to something that has been going for 6 years?

For those of you who say no, explain why not. The endings? The lack of dialogue control?

I think 99.5% is being gracious.  I agree a lot of ME3 was awesome.  I've only played through once and it really was a kick in the balls with the ending.  I want to try to get a better ending.  With that said, I'm definately going to change some things.

I have a second Shep that I'm going to use, but I need to do a full playthrough of ME2 to set things up for ME3.  I really wish Shep had a choice to work with Illusive Man in ME2.  I never wanted to.  I always thought he was a piece of garbage.  That's the whole point of ME isn't it?  "Choice"  I really feel like the endings could have made a lot more choices for what everyone wanted.  Why not?  End off on a note that pleases all crowds.  Some want Shep dead and everyone with him, fine.  Then there are those who want the fairytale ending, sure.  It's a videogame!

I know I'm not the only one who was saying "That's some bullsh*t" after a very surprisingly bad ending.  Here's to hoping next playthrough is at least better or I get that surprise ending after a New Game + playthrough.

When I beat 1 & 2 I went right back in with another character immediately. I still can't bring myself to start this game up again. I had 6 Shepards ready for import, but have only played thru one.

Oh, so this is your boat I'm in?

You know, I swore that I couldn't play any Mass Effect game again after that ending. What was the point, when ultimately everything I did was pointless?

Then I hit on a solution. I'm going to finish my 100% ME1 and ME2 that I had planned, and play ME3 with it... then close the game after the final speech to my squad. That will be the end for me. Me, my LI, and the rest of my squadmates heading out to fight the good fight, win back Earth, and help the galaxy rebuild in the aftermath.
