I'm really struggling with this one. Unlike the previous two games, this is the first time in the series where I don't feel the need to immediately start a new play-through. Those idiotic endings really took the wind out of my sails for this series.
Ultimately, I think I'll do at least 1 more play-through on my main femshep, but seeing how as my choices don't really matter anymore, I wonder if I'll even finish it. We'll see.
pretty much this..
i guess i'll finish another one in some time, but just to see how my choices affect the game. don't think i'll ever even come close to the ending. because: what's the goddamn point. 17 different endings my ass.

I started a new playthrough last night, but I really wasn't enjoying it that much. Everything feels sort of empty and pointless once you know about the endings. Walking around the citadel thinking "not really any point in helping you, you're all dead anyway."
To me, that is the biggest shame of the endings. In ME2, if things went badly at the end, you wanted to go back and do it all over again to get the 'perfect' play through.
The ending just makes it feel like the entire series is meant for a ruthless Shepard who has no friends, or attachments, and no visions of hope. Because in the end, you know Shepard is still going to flip a switch that gives the same results as if the reapers had won.

Pretty much this. I personaly would also like a dlc for mass effect 2 romances if we get an endings change (though dlc or patch).Sylvanfeather wrote...

I just can't play through again, knowing what lies at the end. Which is a tragedy, because the journey there, the other 99.5% of the game, was so incredible.
This sums up everything I'm feeling, still just an hour after beating the game.
I'm so... confused. Torn. If there's an option to play the game through and just skip the ending and pretend something else happened, I may do that.
Hell, at this point, I may actually write fanfiction just to give my Shepard's story its worthy ending.

I'll play up until the end with my other Shepards, but I don't know if I'll actually go through the trauma of finishing the game again.
Yeah. Same here - well, probably.
Right now I'm still kinda wishing I had cancelled my preorder when I first heard about the whole matter.

But I replay games even when I mostly do the same choices [more so with the ME franchise as too much of the Renegade options fall into specieism and I have a hard time really falling in line with those].

I will not, I tried to do a second one with my FemShep, because I wanted her to talk to Garrus again, I didn't get past Mars, I didn't have the heart to do it again
Exactly my feelings.
It would be interesting to get game statistic and see, how much playthroughs people make.
If i remember correctly, bioware published their stats from me2.

I enjoyed the game. I'm glad I played it. But the lack of real differences in the endings and the irrelevance of most of the decisions makes a full playthrough just seem so pointless.

What about you guys? Any brave souls diving right back in, knowing what lies ahead?
Yes, I do intend to play ME 3 many times. However, I will try different paths and such. I think I will take it easy for a few weeks though or so, and I might have to wait until summer cause exams are coming up.
