Not everybody hates them. I for one like the endings, the events that take place were not told correctly and that is a fail on Bioware's part; the endings seemed rushed and ill thoughout out (hence the continuity errors). I am wondering if they cut out parts of the ending like they did with the beginning of the game.
@OP I am not sure I think you have to import the ME3 character to get the NG+ bonuses, as the name implies.
