I still haven't finished ME3, yet but after doing some research in various websites, I found out that the only way to convince the Illusive Man to commit suicide is by making sure to pick all the Paragon speech options in all of his cutscenes. Many people have said that the last two options are greyed out even after they have a full Paragon Bar, while others say its a bug. So I wanted to know if it is the truth that you MUST do all Paragon speech options, or can you get away with a mix of Renegade. My Shepard is a Paragade, and I love that "Go to Hell" speech in the first Mars Mission. Thanks for the help guys

Not sure, but I got the "Kill yourself" without full paragon, but I did take every paragon choice trying to convince TIM to join me up until then.

Any time a paragon persuade option came up, I took it... TIM included. So yeah, I got him to pop himself, Saren style. I don't recall if my reputation bar was all the way full or not.

I did, and he did a Saren and pulled the trigger on himself. Didn't know it was because I did all paragon options with him before though. I thought it was based on alignment. Strangely I was full paragon, took all paragon options with him throughout the game, and was able to use both paragon and renegade dialogue. Weird.

I was paragon the entire game except for Udinia/Kia Leng interrupt. I was able to Saren him. Though I was tempted to be a little renegade when I watched the video logs on the way he manipulated me from the start, but paragon'd through it.

I had full paragon bar and chose all the paragon options when talking to him, but the option wasn't available. I just put it down to the same bug in ME2 where I couldn't reconcile with Miranda after siding with Jack despite having a full paragon bar.
