Nothing makes full sense. I played a mostly paragon Shepard, had about 4700 points, convinced TIM to suicide as well and Anderson was "saved", I still didn't get that third option. I think I was right at the beginning and that the readiness bar does effect how much military stuff you've collected.Schirach wrote...
On that I am not sure about. All I know for a fact is that you do not need to play MultiPlayer in order to get the necessary points required.
I played a full paragon with a total of 6300ish points, Saved Anderson and convinced TIM to suicide. I don't know if that makes a difference, but all three options were open to me.

In the end, I had the choice between Control and Destroy. Nothing else, for the synthesis commes at 2800 readiness. I had little less than 5600.
So yeah, the readiness level, at 50 percent, reduce your military points by half if you can't get online.

See this is just confusing because I had my readiness at 50% as well since I didn't play the Multiplayer before beating the game and I got the all three choices as well as the secret scene with shepard taking a breath.Arthorius wrote...
I just finished the game. I had past 5000 military strengh, and only 50% readiness because I can't get a decent connexion.

As I said, maybe this is where Rep points comes in?

I think the rep points are for raising both paragon and renegade. I saw a post somewhere on here saying they hated how the paragon and renegade was in ME3 because rep points boost both up. Wish I could find it.Schirach wrote...

Anyway, you got all three choices because 6300 divided by 2 is 3150, and as mentioned above, you can get all 3 choices at 2800. I don't know how you got the ending where Shepard's alive.

The only way that would happen is if you chose the destroy reapers ending, the other two don't have it.
So you can see Shep's armor with the Synthesize ending? I wouldn't think that was possible due to how he reacts to the light. Just watched it out of curiousity on youtube earlier today.

I didn't had the "Shepard lives" part. I did almost everything. Every. Single. Sidequest.
All I did wrong was failing to save the Geth because of an exiled Tali. I don't know how to do it any better.

My apologies. I read what you said earlier as choosing the destroy the reapers ending would mean no shep armor scene.
The destroy ending is the one I had chosen so /shrug not really sure what went wrong. Anderson was saved and TIM committed suicide. At least the crew survived.

5000 EMS is only if you don't "save" Anderson, IIRC. You only need 4000 if you kept him alive until after the confrontation with TIM.Schirach wrote...

What was your readiness bar at? If it was at 50%, you only really had 3406, not 4000 (if you "saved" Anderson) or 5000 (if you didn't "save" Anderson)Harbinger of your Destiny wrote...

Which was at 6300... Total Military Strength or Effective Military Strength
I am going to guess the latter, which is why you got Shepard alive.
Aren is getting confused I think
Edit: Just for clarification, the number I think you need to pay attention to is the bottom one, not the top one.
This I believe is what governs what choices you get and whether Shepard lives or not
EMS = TMS multiplied by Readiness Rating

That can't be right. S/he must've done ALL of the search and find quests and more just to get that high. Her readiness bar's at 50%, which would've halfed that down to 3150. I think I need a Coke or something to shoot at.Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...

Edit: Responding to your edit, exactly! I don't get how she could've gotten 12600 points for doing all that, you explain that to me.
Edit 2: Just a friendly reminder covering percentages in math. 100% = 1, 50% = 1/2. So, 6300 times 1/2 is 3150.

Go look at my edit, that'll explain it... basically I imagine Schirach page looked like this...
Total Military Strength = 12600
Galactic Readiness = 50%
Effective Military Strength = 6300
Edit:
I have no idea, ask Schirach

The only that thing that changes is it shows an extremely brief clip of his armor moving under some rubble.
